i think the biggest selling point of the demo for me wasn't the combat or the world building, which are both amazing, but how well the game runs. I have a 4 year old laptop that could barely run space marine 2. Even on the lowest settings, doing anything would cause my frame rate to drop immensely. But Metaphor ran like butter and still looks amazing. Other triple AAA studios should take notes.

the interesting things about metaphor is that the first full party look and feel that they are your actual knight and bodyguard with how they dress, their weapon of choice, their size and their actual background, in persona 3,4 and 5 the MC always looks like "i'm the strongest and i'm gonna protect my friend" while here the entire party scream "this is the king candidate and we are his bodyguard"

Yes, its Esperanto. Fits very well to the theme of the game as its a language that was artificially created by a jewish doctor called Zamenhof in 1887. He wanted to create a new language to unify people regardless of race or nationality. Whole idea was this: You wanna talk to someone spanish? You oughta know spanish. To a german? Gotta know german. French? Same, need to know french. He had all of humanity in his mind so people of all background could try and communicate in a language along with national languages. You wanna try talking to the german, spanish or french but dont know their languages at all? Esperanto is meant to bridge that while also respecting their own languages. A language solely made to unite humanity, where we can all have contact regardless of race or nationality. I believe Esperanto itself literally means "Hopeful" too. Its fits into a game where the world is divided by racism and nobody truly communicates solely because a tribe is lower on the social ladder. Zamenhof was a true champion of the people who actually fought for international understanding and created the theory of humanity too. To quote: "I am a human being and all of humanity is my family. Division of humanity into hostile people or for ethinicity are the greatest evil. All humans are to be judged by their actions and character and any insult or oppression for belonging to differenr people, language, nation or social class I condemn as barbarism".

I dunno the delay between your play and the edited video but if your are still having decision anxiety with your stats I'd recommend magic 1st and strength in close second. Even if everyone can use most class, they still have inate specialities and the natural mages only join in the second half. Unlike in persona, the protagonist can faint and you'll still fight so no need to priorize defend. Just know it'd be a shame to go full magic only since Victor's unique class is just as melee as it is magic, I know I did a lot of catch up x'D

If people were curious about the chanting in the battle theme(and other places) Atlus hired a Buddhist monk to chant in the style of a prayer in a real(but artificial) language called Esperanto, which was created at the tail end of the 1800s with the intent of being a "universal language" which fits the games themes with all the racism going about
