I heard about this game but had no intention of buying it. Then I played the demo on a whim and it truly blew me away! The level of ambition and quality on display is stunning! After finishing the demo I immediately bought the collector's edition! I really feel this is going to be considered an all-time great game and easily a GOTY contender! I feel like with this release Atlus has elevated JRPGs to the next level! The 11th can't get here fast enough!

GOTY contender. Felt it before I played the demo, confirmed it for sure after finishing the demo. Got this bad boy pre-ordered (physical collector's edition by the way) which I normally don't do but I know a gem of a game when I see/play it. Hope this game does EXTREMELY well across all platforms!

I had a similar thought while playing the demo as well. In the middle of a boss/mini-boss on this demo it almost felt like I was kid again playing FFX for the first time. Knowing within the first hour or so that the game you're playing just might be a gem. Still hyped for Dragon Quest III next month but the Metaphor demo really exceeded my expectations

Amazing review. I personally wasn't super sold on Louis but he's a better ultimate protagonist than we've had from JRPGs for awhile. I'm honestly surprised by how little fanfare this game is getting, the story made me cry multiple times and the overall theme/story is incredible.

@@AZ23MJ i personally love the persona games, especially 5. I actually just finished it not too long ago. I know you didnt ask my opinion but I adore the turn based combat of p5, but metaphor brings it up to a new level with having all different mechanics from all the games atlus has released. From what ive played from the demo, the combat is WAY harder and more challenging, which is the one thing i dont like about persona. I believe this game is going to be insane, so I would recommend trying metaphor but youll love both!

It's baffling how non of the reviews mentioned Performance and visuals issues - like deliberately avoiding the topic and not subtracting score from it - while I saw other games reducing the final score due to technical issues before
