The gents sample another Irish from Jameson's experimental kitchen, finished in the hard-to-find French Oak casks for extra fancy.

I’ve been watching your videos for a bit now and have been wanting to get into whiskey. I have bought Glenfiddich 12, Jameson, Suntory, and Jefferson’s very small batch. I’ve been having a hard time picking out scents and tasting notes. But I finally got that shortbread cookie and butterscotch from the Jameson!!! I had two glencairns, one with Suntory and one with Jameson. I went back and forth smelling but didn’t really get anything. But as soon as I took a sip of Suntory, I smelt the Jameson again and all of the flavors jumped out at me and I can’t believe it. Just wanted to share as a noob.

Awesome video! I have a bottle that i’ve been waiting to pop. The M&M Single Malt is actually matured for 14 years in a bourbon barrel and then finished in the french oak. Doesn’t say anywhere on the bottle but the info is available online. Cheers!

My current series on Peated Highland Scotch Whisky ends on March 5th so I''l be taking a break (dry week or two) then. Maybe next quarter we can get our MENstrual cycles synchronized. But, it isn't just about taking a break from alcohol but needing a break from EVERYTHING - social media, making videos, whatever.

Based off of the description you gave, green spot and the french oak method and madness' similarity feels in the same area as chestnut cask finish method and madness really tasting similar to redbreast 12!

I read somewhere that the M&M uses 12-year single malt. I thought Green Spot is 10 years old. I have both bottles currently and that M&M is lovely.

Genuine question as you've said this about a few Irish Single Malts now. You refer to finding the classic butter/shortbread flavours in this and I think it was the Teeling Single Malt, but I thought they appeared in classic Irish because of the unmalted barley in a pot still whiskey? There's none of that here so where else would it come from? The triple distillation?

The bottle lord bit is because people sponsored shelves in the Vault and this is a way of recognizing them. The lit feature wall behind them is a display of the quintessential bottles representing each region/style, though many bottle selections are provisional.
