This is the most inspirational video of what was a truly a spiritual endeavour for all involved. By the end I had tears of joy in my eyes imagining that moment when the participants could stand back and experience what they had created. I thank god for the Met and the beacon they steadfastly shine on scholarship and understanding.

Wow, just wow. More than just looking at the final product in the museum, I would have loved to play mouse and just watch these craftsmen work. Indeed dedication is the right words to describe it. I have visited many places in Europe and they were all great, but the most beautiful was the Alhambra as a whole complex to me. Would have loved to visit Marocco, now disbaled and fighting cancer, so it's not clear if I will ever have the chance. Therefore I'm grateful to live in times of internet and documentations like these being available, what a blessing!

@@mbz9202 This isn't Arabic at all. This is Andalusi architecture invented by Iberian Muslims, with small influences from Persia. If you really look at it from a historical and architectural point of view it is much more Roman and Gothic in nature than it is Arabic or Middle Eastern in general. This is a style that developed in Muslim Spain. Even the typical horseshoe arch that you see in this type of architecture was implemented by the goths who converted to Islam. Many columns that were used in their buildings were Corinthians(Greek) columns, until later they developed their own styles and design of columns. Morocco and Muslim Spain have been one country in history for a long time (Almoravid and AlMohads), so this is how some of the influence came into morocco. On top of that, Most of the Muslims of the Iberian peninsuela that fled the persecution from the Christians went to Morocco and brought their Architecture, Music, dialect, etc... with them. And that's why you'll only see authentic Andalusi cultural legacies such as music or architecture in Morocco(and Spain) and nowhere else. Not even in other places where some Andalusi refugees have fled to in smaller numbers. I can keep on going, but this architecture isn't Arabic AT ALL. Like, literally the only Arabic influence on this architecture is the Arabic calligraphy. So, get your Arab arrogance and nationalism and throw it in the garbage bin. Morocco has been a place of many great nations either from outside or from within, with a great history, beautiful and rich culture and great diversity. So, no need to be looking down on Morocco my friend. And yes, I say this as a proud (not arrogant) Moroccan.
