Oh my gosh! Since March 23 2022, I’ve had 3 cancer surgeries on my shoulder for DFSP. I’m 15 so it was a long struggle to be taken seriously by doctors!😥 Anyway, as of May 25 (last surgery date) I’ve been cancer free! My journey was relatively short compared to many cancer fighters, I’m so proud of everyone in the cancer and illness community. Thanks for reading!🏳️🌈🎗

Four inches is quite impressive. My late CIS husband was only 4.5 inches erect, and he & I had a lot of fun with it for thirty-five years. I had no idea that transmen's lower endowment could be so large. No wonder the guys in the study were so pleased with it.

@@fozziebean Sure, but it's something, right? I found it to be more of a mental change in how I saw myself, rather than physically. Decreasing my androgen levels also cleared up my cystic acne and reduced other "male" features, so it does work, but you obviously can't expect a full transition just on a weak hormone regime. If someone can't access hrt or puberty blockers, then natural teas at least can do something for them. Again, it's the mental rejuvenation in believing you're doing something. All of these teas are pretty good too, especially chamomile in dealing with anxiety related to being trans and acceptance. Anyway, have a great day/evening/night :)

Then you find out about the rest of the alphabet....then you realise that letters only represent sounds and that there are many sounds you could create with your mouth that are not present in the alphabet....they you realise that sounds don't matter is the meaning they carry when strung together to create words and sentences that actualy count. Quick search and I found a website that may be useful. Scroll down to the specific surgery you want and under 'Location' it offers an in-text link to a list of providers that are able to provide trans-related health care. This website is 'https : // www . trans hub . org . au / grs', with no spaces. For metoidioplasties specifically, go to 'https : // aus path . org . au / providers / #'. Again, no spaces. It gives you the option to jump to the information relevant to your state. Personally, I recommend getting it in Thailand. Higher conversion rate money-wise (AUD$1 = ~ THB฿24). If being in a non-English speaking country would be too complicated to work around with needing to pay for an interpreter, etc. getting it in the US is the second best place. However, it's a lower conversion rate, so it's a reduction in money. Anyway, I hope that helps you in any way! Stay safe, mate :)

I'm curious how many of the people who've had these surgeries may have been non-binary and lumped in with the trans men. I have heard of some using the trans label in order to gain easier access to gender affirming procedures. Although, they may have a separate set of statistics for that. In regards to the requirements though, how does that apply to non-binary people when it comes to living as that gender (or lack thereof) for a year since there is no "standard" for what that means? Also, thank you for mentioning the lack of info. It is very frustrating to see almost nothing but diagrams and mid operation pics.

I haven't had any surgeries before, but I am currently on a wait list for a jaw surgery because my teeth are so crooked that in order to straighten them, I will have to get my jaw broken and realigned first. I will also at one point during my treatment have to have a device where I will have to turn a key once a day to slowly split my palette and widen it over time. I'm a bit scared because that will be A LOT of pain. What if I end up regretting it? But at the same time, my teeth are currently so crooked that they often cause discomfort and even pain. Another concern I have is the fact that I hate cold water and soup, but I will have to live off of both of those while recovering from jaw surgery. I hope that it will be one of those cases where you're so hungry that anything will taste good regardless of taste, temperature, or texture.

There is very little information on web-sites that are clear about the common ongoing continence issues, or that the surgeries are simpler and have fewer complications if patients have NOT had blockers or opposite sex hormones before the age of 20 (and the converse is true).

It depends, if my wisdom teeth removal counts as surgery then yes, or the stitches I had to reattach my nose that I cut open on a stamp box I was playing with as a toddler when I tripped and fell then yes, otherwise no. I do hope to eventually have post weight loss skin removal surgery though and include a breast reduction as a part of it when I do for sensory reasons as well as dysphoria related reasons (I’m an AFAB demigirl).

I find the idea of "closing" the vagina but leaving the uterus somewhat strange. If only because of the complications that arise from hormone therapy (strengthening the uterine wall, for example). On the other hand, compulsory castration for the possibility of sex change in documents (Czechia is one of the last EU states that insist on it) strikes me as disgusting. Especially when these "bottom" surgeries are like "a hundred years behind the apes" as they say here. :/ Like... I know very few people who have gone for it. I know a lot more that will do it, but definitely not in the Czech Republic. Like, there's pretty good health care here, but this health care sector here is so terribly small and bad... So a big blow for savings and bye bye, I'm going to the competition abroad.

i have had surgery! but sadly not any of the transition related surgeries that i would like bc they are incredibly expensive as we all know & very hard to get covered by insurance in much of the US bc our healthcare is a fucking joke. (which i realize is news to no one) hoping that with all the shit going on i will still have enough bodily autonomy to get the hysterectomy i need done next year. but the government is currently poking around in our uteruses so i’m not very optimistic. looking forward to hearing jamie talk more in depth about meta! always love seeing him on the pod & his series on his bottom surgery was so very much appreciated! i know he had a rough go of things but i feel it’s important to see all sides & grateful for all he shares with us 🥹❤️
@sisiphas Жыл бұрын
Look at the association between hysterectomy before age of menopause (around 55) and early onset dementia before proceeding. Using T after (and/or before) hysterectomy is likely to further increase the likelihood of early dementia, but this is uncertain. The very strong link between early dementia and any hysterectomy is the reason why hysterectomy is no longer used as a treatment for a number of diseases (inc cancer) in non-trans women.

I'm a bit put off that nobody on this panel pointed out the fact that "voiding" is not some outdated term. It's still used quite frequently by medical professionals. In fact, fistulas are a common complication of FtM bottom surgery and this pathology is frequently imaged and diagnosed via VCUG which stands for "voiding cystourethrogram". It means the urethra is imaged under fluoroscopy as the patient pees out contrast. Is there not a doctor on this panel? Hopefully just PhD...
