This car is beautiful ...is suitable for family of 4...a 40 year old husband, his wife and two children...wife says wows when she looks at the car..and children are overjoyed. Then all four sit inside and feel the beautiful plush and comfy interiors. They all go on long drive ...nicely cruising on Delhi Chandigarh highway at the speed of 80 km/hr...enjoying the ride..singing..eating..playing with touch screen, enjoying the panoramic sun roof and having fun all the way..😌😌😌😌

MG Astor is pure luxury, particularly the top end Savvy Turbo AT trim. No other car in its segment compares to its build quality, luxurious interiors, tech and safety. It's an international model quite popular in UK and Europe too. Its ADAS too works perfect and far better than the competition. Great job by MG!

Biggest positive in Astor Exterior: silhouette, front grill (although i dont like the convex shape) headlamp shape, Interior: All soft touch surfaces, colur combo, all fit and finish. Luggage space Performance: ok, with 1.5 engine. Noone can drive at more than 100 kph in 99%of indian roads Tech: adas, 360 deg camera, and the pod, may be it is just a novice and its use will diminish by the time you get used to vehicle., Saftey: fingers crossed.

ASTOR definitely looks very Stunning & if priced well it would definitely bring turbulence in 4.3 mts. The top end sub 4 mt C-SUV's would be shaken up as well as it offers better Cabin Space. AI & Voice Command as wasteful investments. Adaptive Cruise Control & ADAS we Indians are yet to experience in Indian conditions. If Astor is priced well buyers will accept it without Auto Dimming IRVM, Telescopic Stearing & Ventilated Seats. Surely Diesal will be missed against Korean Twins. ASTOR & XUV700 together might alter the Sales no. Game & Predictions of Koreans & German Twins for sure.

Hi Vikas, your review of Astor (especially in the performance, handling and NVH areas) is very different to feedback from every other reviewer. Could you check if there were some ADAS setting or some other setting that prevented engine from normal speeds and performance? If this was the case, this review could mislead many people.

Cancelled the Astor and booked Taigun .. decision changed .. there was so much confusion in features and test drive was ok ok.. not happy with the transmission , showroom people themselve Don't have proper information. We are using polo since 6 years and going for VW again 🙂👍 very happy with the decision

Awesome analysis...yogi bro does keen analysis even at minute kind of short of things. In overall...comfort space is pretty better than its rival..but in engine performance...in such a price point they should provide with some aggressive torque n power figures. Though AI features are pretty good to make safe to people sitting in it...like it automatic responds to braking n some other good features, But driver should give proper attention while driving .

Already booked Taigun coz in reality the ADAS and all that AI is not what I might be using on my rides(which is Astor's USP), experienced and responsible drivers dont need ADAS to be honest . Leather finish is great in Astor no doubt but the engine is too weak and Engine is the soul of the car so no match with the TSI . The other biggest draw back I found in Astor from walkaround and other reviews is that even though it is bigger on paper but actually small interior wise . Doesnt feel roomie and cabin like as that in Taigun . And most important , why did MG invited the media on Buddha Track, I mean we wont be driving Astor on those racing tracks , or was it to mask the driving deficiencies of the Astor ? Taigun's media drive took place in Udaipur where the media explored it on rough patches, hilly roads, city traffic , highways etc , that drive gave a better picture to be honest . In Taigun I can add top notch leather from after market making is much more luxurious but cannot add more power or refinement in Astor's engine after market , also there is no point in switching off that AI of Astor to secure my privacy every now and then which is their USP . To conclude I would say Astor is more inclined towards luxury and show off , rather than actual driving . It can be better off as Chauffer Driven Car .

Bro if we consider the base varient of both cars , the Astor is 1.80 lakhs cheaper than Taigun . Don't you think the base of Astor is more sensible buy ? Or one should go for Polo at 10 lakhs ?

@@anuragpandey6554 Taigun was quite value for money when it was priced at 10.49 Ex-showroom. But Astors biggest drawback is its engine, with a 4 cylinder engine it is producing less power than 1 TSI of Taigun, that too at a higher RPM , that is a double bummer. Astor's base has litrally nothing of that ADAS, AI and other connected car features that makes it stand out from the crowd. Better go for Tata Punch if you can compromise on the engine and save couple of lakhs more. Polo is a hatchback dear, it has litrally no rear space and a very small boot, its a 2 segment below than Taigun and Astor . With price increase in the Automobile sector prices of almost every car is increasing.

hey bro i am also having same confusion but my monthly running is 800-1000kms just got testdrive of 1.5cvt of astor its a wonderful car such a premium car compared to seltos and creta and also its more safe with 6 airbags and then i drove seltos i feel seltos is not value for money talking about htx 1.5 petrol manual after ASTOR i dont think you would like anyone just check with the mileage of car wait for actual mileage and then go for ASTOR
