You are keeping the stock end ratio I presume? No urge to change to a 3.7 diff for some more top end speed?

To get back on the road ill have the std diff in. I intend to run a few track days with it to shake down at higher speeds. After that i have a 4.55 diff to try for faster acceleration over short sprints which are more about handling and off the mark speed. Most run a 4.2 diff as a best compromise so i may end up with that as a preferred option to leave in all the time.

remember the handbrake differs from the earlier cars to the later 1500 models. my handbrake is for a 1275 1972 car with a rocker connecting the handbrake to the 2 rods going to each wheel

Don’t you have to pack the bearings with grease?

Thanks for watching. The bearings all run in the gear oil that you fill the casing with so no need to pack grease in. hope it helps.

@@mgmidget-thebirthofaraceca4349 yeah I realized that after I asked it... although the shop manual does say to pack them with lithium grease. I guess it all mixes up after a few hard turns. Going to try to do replace mine in the next few weeks.
