I many years ago did a compete rebuild on a Mini and used Chromate Metal primer on the subframe. This paint was bright green and amazingly , mud would not even stick to it. I sold the car 4 years later and still that subframe looked new. I havent seen Chromate Metal Primer for years.

an average paint job is still 10× better than factory.Smoothright 100×s better. Well done for your choice of paint.

I used Eastwood Rust encapsulater for the bottom paint. It looks just like the Hammerite Metal Paint you used. Same viscosity, etc. But didn't know about the Hammerite seal with Waxohl you used. I need to check that out.

You really should have the car in primer before applying the sealer. This car , judging by the colour, has already had a lot of money spent on it in the past. It always amazes me what some people spend on their motor cars.
