The old UC universe mobile suit are simple that's why they try to give them more details, but the newest series like the Gundam seed and doble 00 or Gundam W, are very colorful and over the top design!! You can see that in the PG too the UC series are more mechanically detail, then you have the wing zero, strike, strike freedom and astray that just there to look good and now we have the latest unicorn and exia that come with lighting gimmick!

The torso is reminiscent of roman armour, the antenna and shoulder spikes like a gladiator, the axe instead of a sword like a viking, and the color of the mass produced units in green like something a real military would do. The red harkens to the red baron. Add in the cool bits like a red mono eye and the segmented piping and it's a win.

When it came time for me to build my Char Zaku I decided not to go with the Char kit. Instead I bought the Johnny Ridden Zaku. I gave it a custom paint job (similar to yours) and even did some mild kitbashing. I modified some variable thrusters from an old Wing Zero for the backpack, and even gave it the heat whip/shield from an old Epyon kit. I haven't had any of the problems with that kit. The hands can be a pain when holding the machine gun, but the parts are secure and posing is a breeze. I currently have mine of a flight stand and it looks awesome in just about any angle.

i got the original 1996 mg char zaku. the ankle thrusters are just a rectangle with grooves, arms are fragile (broke left arm), fin is still a loose part but the elbows aren't flimsy as you mentioned earlier. it's not a bad kit the rings/tubes are still annoying as shit though.

I'm gonna be honest, even though the 2.0 hands don't hold weapons firmly, I still prefer them to optional hands. I hate having to have a little zip lock bag nearby just to change up a pose and swap the hands or fingers and it's such a pain. I love my MKII 2.0 in large part due to it being able to holster all its weapons and ammo on it and be able to wield all of them without needing optional parts

I have a HG MS-06S ZAKU II CHAR bandai model kit, and i have to say is a really pain in the ass make that hands grab and pose the guns special the bazzoka in fact the rifle just broke up one of the tow pins that is housed in the holding hand, and the stickers OMG was a inferno, but overall the model is really nice looking i want to painted but man my skills are shit.

Great choice of paint color scheme, I can't stand the 'anime accurate' salmon pink color of the limbs and head, I used a Gundam Char's red for all the Salmon pink parts and metallic red for the core body and skirt armor

I don't want to hate, nor shit talk, but it looks off. The berry colored chest and skirt, the right and left arm are a different shade but that could be camera lighting. Overall, the red is a bit dark I always assumed the Red Comet was more of a cherry red.

my favorite thing about your kits is you more or less keep the original colors. i feel like the "custom" color thing is sometimes a way of declaring "i painted this" where as when the colors are original its more subtle and someone not into gunpla just wouldnt notice, and maybe not compliment the paint job, and in doing so, deflate an ego seaking recognition. essentially you stepped out of the box, by not being different. a leader among nerds. this was a huge run on sentence, but i dont care.
