For example, agar aap car 1,000 km per month chalate ho to 3,500 rs per month dene honge. Iske fayde? - Save on 5 lacs EMI (almost 10,000 rs kamm emi), - Jitni car chalayi utne hi paise dene hai, - Unlimited warranty on battery. Iske nuksaan? - No maalik wali feel on buying on subscription car (which is the most important 🤣)

38 kwH Battery seems very less for this size of a car, MG should have also launched 50+ kWH variant that is already available in markets outside India. Calling a car as CUV, it is supposed to get atleast 400 km range as it is meant to go cross-state. .

Nothing disruptive about this. Mg never fails to disappoint. They launched comet with a smaller battery pack and now this, where you can't even own the battery. Most other EV's have 1.6 lakh km warranty on battery. In case of MG's subscription model one has to pay 5.6 lakhs for the same usage. So in total it'll be 10+5.6=15.6lakhs + taxes and insurance That puts it right around 17 lakhs. Add to that the electricity cost of about 2.5rs per km. That accounts to another 4 lakhs. 21 lakhs for a 38kwh battery pack ev with no officislsafety rating. Mehh..I'll pass. Zs ev is a much better value proposition than this rental battery EV. My scross diesel costs me about 4rs per km. Paying 3.5rs per km for battery and additional 2.5 rs for electricity per km is absolutely nuts.

your final calulation proves it is a good deal. i dont like car looks but yet to check in person. any petrol vehicle in 10L range will cost 10-12L to run 1.6L kms +Maintenance. what a time to be alive!!!! great EV options finally, took plunge and got Punch EV, no regrets. amazing vehicle.

The only catch is that they will charge for a minimum of 1500 km for the battery every month even if you don’t drive in a particular month at all. 1500*3.5*1.18(gst)*12 = 74k a year atleast. Still really good for people who are frequent travellers/have very high monthly mileage.

Step in the right direction but lifetime warranty on battery is a gimmick because MG is already charging for the battery via subscription so already taken into account if they need to absorb battery replacement cost in future. Lifetime warranty would be a game changer without subscription.

Subscriptions model is very expensive.. For eg if you ride 100km a day that comes to 3000km a month multiply by 3.5 Rs = 10500rs have to be paid per month which comes to emi of the car if ones takes 5 lac rs loan

My creta giving 20avg, ie 90/20=4.5rs/km. If we consider this deal then 3.5+1(electricity fee) then 4.5rs/km. I feel doesn't make any sense as i can use creta for long drive where as above car i have to be stick within limits. Better deal should be under 10lakh with 300+ range on road.
