Infotainment system is lagging so much in the intial state itself might become literally unusable from long term point of view, kinda concerning since all the functionality is on the infotainment itself

most of the car review programs always show the top end model. Funny... even showrooms have only the top end available for test drives .. rest is let to your imagination.... if you are going in for anything below a top end...

Thank you. I have been waiting for such a review for more than a month. After watching, I have decided to book Nexon EV. My main gripes are the looks and the screen based controls. Can't live with them for ever 😮

Wrong choice. This car comes with an LFP prismatic battery. Nexon comes with normal NMC battery whose life span is very less.. Tesla/byd all use LFP technology... Not to forget the fire issue also..

I AM Tata ev owner. Cars have huge problem. I am done with Tata. Also mg has 10-12 years experience in electric vehicles as they sell cars abroad. Never heard any issues in mg. Please rethink while going for Tata

How is the suspension on Windsor. As a ZS EV owner, we hate the way car handles bumps, speed breakers or potholes. It's very springy.

No issues with the design and interiors at all. Yes, a few more switches would have helped but that is manageable once the user gets a hang of it. What is not acceptable is the range which is quite low. Should have been 400+ kms for a dent in the EV market.

If enough people complain and state that they won't buy one unless it gets the bigger battery and MG india might just have to offer it. I wouldn't be wanting the glass roof though, I'd rather it the same as the Wuling offered in Indonesia.

I guess range is good bro it's 331 and RW range is 280-300km compares to XUV400 375km and gives 256.. and also it's offers a premium car which is plus in this price segment.

There should be a massage function in the seat for such kind of seats.. Hard padding is needed for back for back support or else you will tend to slip from the seats

90/100: Good product, albeit with TWO FLAWS: Good looks, spacious & taller. It ticks 90% of all expectations of Indians. Two problems: 1st problem is the smaller battery pack which can generate only a 230 km run. A larger battery pack (high range) is ESSENTIALLY required to CATER to long journey commuters. MG must RETHINK soon. Absence of provision of a long range battery will not be good for a family MPV. 2nd is No provision of spare wheel. When Tata Sierra 2025 & KIA Siros get launched, it will be retirement time for MG Windsor unless and otherwise they come up with a long-range battery. Let's see. The sooner MG provides a larger battery pack....the good for MG. Otherwise, it would be approaching the "retirement" stage i.e- Competition will eat up.

Without a bigger battery and being such a huge car it does not qualify for family car or highway car... Better they could have brought a small car with this battery pack..... It might be a good choice for corporate executives travel within city or to bring expats from Airport to the office within city... They would love it....

Two questions: 1) will they replace the battery at free of cost once battery life is towards its end as they are charging for battery on rental basis? 2) For real world testing, why not most of your range test in City traffic?

Iam thinking to upgrade my 2018 i20 with ev car i think realistic range will be around 250-300km for my usage i need more range🙃😥 my monthly odo will be around 2500-3000km MG should launch long range version also😤 Initially thought of curvv 55kw version but TATAs fit finish nd QC is not upto the mark

But aren't EVs supposed to be RWD in order to handle their extra weight? This car particularly would have benefitted hugely from a RWD layout. There would have been a larger frunk freeing up space at the rear for a 3rd row of seats.

Thats a first for me. How exactly would RWD benefit it? Genuine question. For a car that's aimed at a commuter audience, it's better to give them an understeery car than an oversteering one. It's just easier to deal with.

​@@ScootScoot125 hi, it doesn't have to be only a commuter car. Overstreer/understeer aside, there is a huge weight transfer to the rear of the car during acceleration, only from where it needs to be pushed. Then there is the e-axle which will not leave a hump on the rear deck like a rear mounted ICE would. ICE cars became FWDs because of the packaging convenience. EVs however offer an opportunity to set things right. When a RWD car drifts it's Paradise but even otherwise torsen returning from the rear of the car while engine braking (regen mode in an EV) and turning a RWD car can be breathtaking.

Look at our hypocrisy.. The same minimalism would have been done by tesla or bmw or jlr , we would have heaped the comment sections with praises..it shows our perception..we are not accepting that china has gone far ahead in terms of reasearch and innovation..

It is rather stupid of MG for not having put physical buttons for headlight, OVRM and AC controls. Just curious though, can an aftermarket bluetooth enabled button like that of Amazon Dash button solve this problem till the time MG decides to revamp the UX of this car ?

Mg simply can't introduce a rebadged Chinese car by just adding ac control switches and believe that they've introduced a car for Indians...least the infotainment system should be snappy and lag free if they pack everything in it...imagine driving inside a tunnel and u try switching the headlights..but couldn't do it quickly just becoz the screen is laggy...what in the heck was MG even thinking.
