Yes costly and time consuming too. CNG is better available another alternate to electric. Still Electric once infrastructure is available then it will boom more faster.
@pradeepchaudhary62973 жыл бұрын
It's not costly it's best for daily commute to upto 150km 30 kwh which costs (8 rs per unit) around 240 rs for 200 to 250 km at home approx 1.2rs to .95 rs per km nobody travel 3000km its once in year trip NoOne use fast charging on daily but 18rs per unit is costly but I think when govt infrastructure will develop within 2 to 3 years they will charge less on fast charging (12rs per unit guess ) along with highways & expressways In 2020 the cost of battery pack is 10% of what's in 2010 its declined by 90% and decreasing exponentially In the future we r going to more efficient batteries, motors,bms

Congratulations Vinod on this journey. However I think India has a long journey ahead in terms of 1. EV car pricing compared to ICE cars 2. India needs to set up fast charging station every 100 kms 3. If we are spending a lot on EV we need mind free drive with out having the tension to find charging station 4. Also on the verge of finding charging station we have to go off track n take diversion or a lengthier route. 5. If we don't find any charging station on the route we loose time n stop over spending money in motels 6. Last one but very imp I will never risk with children n family in an EV This is just my thought but not to demotivate anyone from going EV

Tata is doing tremendous job in setting up the EV charging stations all over the India. But need to work on software in order to provide hassel free connectivity for the charge to start. Rs 2643 for 765 km. That's roughly Rs 3.50 per km. I did lucknow to pune on my ford ecosport. I drove at 80kmph on cruise as much as possible. The trip Lucknow-Pune-Lucknow was 25km/ltr. The trip was done last year. Even in today's fuel price it would cost me Rs 3.5 per km. Benefit to the environment makes sense but looking at the cost, time and stress I don't think EV would have saved me any money or made my trip joyful...

YES, paying a little less than 3K for the journey of 750 KMS is cheap, and when we compare it with the petrol/diesel cars, it is pretty cheap. But what about the time that the traveller will spend on the charging, there were many instances where the driver in this video had to take a night halt because the charger was not available. The cost of the stay will also come into account when talking about this. There is no fast charging network around the country, there are very few if we start comparing with other countries. While on the long-distance journey, nobody wants to get inside of the passing by city, but as most of the chargers are inside the cities, there is no other way but to enter the city and face the city traffic, this reduces the experience. The electric car scene is pretty small at present but I am sure with time this situation will improve. Electric Car Road trips in India: Cheap - Maybe Clean - Definitely Cumbersome - Sometimes Frustrating - Definitely Time Consuming - Definitely

Very cleverly made the whole episode. This gentlemen not even once mentioned that in how many days he completed his journey and how much did he spend on the entire journey which is very important part of the journey. I’m Sure they want to hide this information. See the whole outcome of the EV journey is the total cost what goes out from the pocket. This is very important factor which is missing right now but it will improve once the infrastructure is fully developed. Hope government make infrastructure stronger which will encourage more people like me to adopt electrical vehicles or hydrogen vehicles in coming years.

@vinodpillai3 жыл бұрын
Reiterating for you. The cost of fast charging for the entire route was Rs 6310.. Considering a 3060 km journey in a petrol car which gives 18 kmpl , and fuel @ 98 Rs /ltr, the cost of the drive would be Rs 16,600.
@pluginIndia3 жыл бұрын
@@vinodpillai Thank you Vinod. The day stops and time can be easily calculated from video.
@tejasingh20743 жыл бұрын
@@vinodpillai yes it is considerable amount of saving when compared with fuel cost which I am in a favor. In the entire journey of 6.5 days you have covered approx 470 km / day whereas in normal car the journey would have been completed in 4.5 days considering average run of 700 km / day ( which I believe you will agree with the above figure). It took 2 days extra to cover the journey and considering 5 passengers the expense per person/ day is around RS 700/-( with 2 meals +tea breakfast) x5 persons 3500/- x 2 days =7000/- + hotel charges 5000/-/ day x 2 days = 10,000/- TOTAL COST for extra 2 days works out to RS 17,000/- So what we conclude we spent 50% of more time to cover the journey and what ever we have saved in fuel it got utilized in that extra time which i believe is exorbitant and unnecessary. For a long journey what did we save ? In my opinion we must have freedom to plan our journey by not calculating where to halt for charging but to take a halt at our desired destination which makes our journey peaceful and safe. ✌️
