Thanks very much. I have enjoyed this series as this is a vehicle that should soon be on offer here, where the steering wheel is also on the right side, should have been on right side, not the left side. While the Chinese software is a big concern, German-style ride sounds great and the fact the rear seats lay flat is good too, so thanks for showing that. Most Australian’s first EV will probably be from China, even though they love bashing them on Reddit 😅

Bjorn, you are one of the best reviewers out there. British car magazines are raving about the MG 4 but have not found all these niggly little problems that are quite dangerous when driving - they'd rather look at cup holders and a few other points.

You can use the right steering wheel toggle switch to control the heating/aircon. I have the long range Trophy. You can set other functions with the left and right toggles too, they work well for the usual controls you need to change while driving without having to use the touch screen. And I do agree after 1600 miles (driving in the UK) it is definitely a good drivers car, handles and feels very much like the BMW i4 electric, very well balanced and in sport mode you can even get the back end out (safely) on sweeping corners or larger roundabouts 🙃

Hey, when hoy push the joystick on the steering wheel and the hotkey menu comes up, you then use the joystick for everything. The screen just shows the ways you can use it and is not for using with touch. Other than that, nice series. Looking forward to you testing the bigger battery in Norge! Lycka till med resan hem :)

Matey. When you press the right * button on the steering wheel to access the hvac menu, you then have to use the right joystick pad to operate the aircon , not the screen. Its Not touch screen and its not explained very well on the cars screen. I think up and down does the temp. Left and right does the fan speed. The buttons are way too small on the screen your spot on. My car had a ton of updates the other day. But the infotainment screen seems to be a completely separate update. There was not an update ready for my SE model. The way the car drives is by far its best feature. I love the steering and the way it handles on a twisty road. Thailand seems to be blessed with lots of twisty cool roads 😃

Thanks for the videos on this car, really appreciated all the tests you made! I am a little surprised by the freezing of the screen, I have been driving it for two months now and never happened, but it looks like it's a slightly different software? E.g. the battery menu looks different from mine. Also mine it's getting a big software update next week, so hopefully it will improve also the auto steer. Dear Bjorn I can understand that the Norweigan MG agency dont have given you a car yet. The MG4 had big problem with the heating and thats not so funny in Norway or Sweden (where I live) Normally I have 20-21C in my Bmw. In my MG4 I need 25-26C. And the fan is very noisy both inside and outside!!! If you are more then 2 people in the car there wil be lots of condensation and you have to manuallt put the fan on max. The preheating of the coupe is not working....and the repair shop says that its ALWAYS should blow only cold air....very fun in a cold country... And as you said....Lane assistanten...brrrr !! Its very dangerous!!! Im curious if MG has ever test the car with this function!! Hopefully they will fix this in the future with some software updates.

I don't like the idea of auto drive systems like Tesla has been trying to perfect, would never trust such systems you drive a car the car should not drive you, having systems that help is one thing and make sence. But the cheep skates need to add a rear wiper or make it an option.

In europe all new cars have this assistant crap activated every time you start the car. Its a new regulation since 2022 and i hate it. Ok if you have a car like a Mokka where you have a physical button to disable it. But with all this new "now we have a touchscreen to change all the crap and we dont think about personal favorites for easy change at start" its annoying. Especially if this assistants are crap and want to steer you in the middle of the road or in the guardrail on streets without lane markings (yeah, i talk to you stellantis)
