Good job man, are very interest in your progress as I replaced my sills not so long ago. Very envious you have the use of a lift, I worked on mine using jack stands and "creeper" to get under the car. Its certainly satisfying to watch progress and share the experience with others. Cheers!

Thank you. Its the second set I've put on the car, thankfully this time they will last longer with the limited wet use it gets. The lift helps no end, I ended up revisiting the drivers side and seam welding that a little more.

I have to do mine i have looked at loads of MGBs the factory ones the doors fit flush at the rear bottom corner most rebuilt ones the doors either stick out or are pushed in. Is there a problem with the repair panels or the door rubbers. I think I noticed that you took off the hinges and then put them back did you fit the doors for finally aligning the outer sill?

Gday David - the door rubbers are a pain it is super common to hear folk who have issues with them or have to put up with time to "bed them in". An important thing to note is the alignment of the door cards versus the seal. The door cards often have foam do any overlap on the door seals will double your problem. I ensured I had no foam on the leading edge of the door cards where they sat against the seals! Doors required some subtle bending and use of jack to "encourage" positioning them.

Did you weld the inner membrane and outer sill inside the footwell panel or outside? Mine were inside. It will all be covered up so it probably doesn't matter.

Is it neccersary to brace the body on a gt ????

Hello Steve. Some restorers don't bother, I've restored a few "roofed" cars and had issues afterwards by not bracing, so for a little bit of box and some welding it seemed sense.
