Great job at the OSG! If you were to focus 1 year on strongman you'd be winning many shows. Why don't you try hookgrip for the deadlift? It's painful in the beginning, but people do lift heavy deadlifts with it. And it keeps the biceps safe and provides better movement symmetry.
@MHB3014 сағат бұрын
I've never really had a reason to switch from mixed grip. I also feel I'm able to get my upper back tighter with mixed grip

Sup john, how do you think of using wrist straps while deadlift session. Cause i heard ppl said using straps will reduce ur explosive force.
@MHB3014 сағат бұрын
Deadlift isn't really a movement you should try and be that explosive with. You really want to build tension in the bar and come off the ground smooth. From there, you can start to accelerate through the movement.

If you compete in knee wrap category, will your sleeve squat count as raw! I hope if you set some type of record, it counts as a total raw. Decades ago, when I was younger, I was in an organization that raw was the use of wraps. I knew someone squatted totally raw, but it didn't matter, it was the same, wraps or not. I hope in the record books your squat is consider raw, not thrown into the wrap category. I know that Ed Coan raw bench of 545lbs. and his raw 901lbs. deadlift was counted in the all-time single ply. division and never recognized in the raw division.

His squats in sleeves are counted as raw, not "raw with wraps"
