When blocking, try and aim yourself towards her head, since the roar comes from that. This is only really relevant for if you're right underneath her.

@@thefatracoon5473 I timed out probably 10 times in this quest trying to beat it with longsword. Much of those runs being great runs with little downtime. Not sure what i was doing wrong to not be able to dps them down. This was over a decade ago tho.

Freedom Unite is probably my favorite in the series, but its also the game that makes me do a deep sigh in almost every minute of a quest, particularly quests like this one.

I'm not sure how blocking works, honestly, but I assume that HBG's shield is a weaker one, similar to GS and SnS. When blocking with Lance and GL you don't take chip damage because it's a very strong shield (Might be due to Guard+1 etc. I dunno) but the other blocks just aren't as strong as Lance.

That's one fierce pair of monster ladies there. Honestly I don't like multi-monster hunts in pretty much any game, but it's extra bad in MHFU since dung bombs are so finicky and it's hard to buy time if you end up in a bad situation with both of them on the same area.

Yeaaaah, I dunno why they made dung bombs work the way they do in MHFU :/ And the funny part is, having multiple monsters in the same area doesn't even necessarily make the game harder, and especially not harder in an interesting or fun way, at all. The way to counter two monsters being in the same area, assuming you can, is to just run away and WAIT and do nothing. And honestly, any game... ANY game that requires the player to wait like this is honestly just not good or interesting at all, and it's why I criticize the shit out of monsters that charge, burrow, and hang from ceilings too much. It's not fun, it's just bad. If it's a monster hunting game where I fight the monsters, let me fight the fuckin' monsters lol. If it's a deer hunting game where I shoot the deer and it dies, I can totally understand waiting and sneaking around for that, the risk/struggle and reward are balanced out, but in MH, stealth is basically non existent, and the benefit from being undetected is also basically non existent as well, unfortunately.

@@HeadHunter455 Yep, pretty much this. I think hunts with more than one monster would be much better if they only spawned in sequence after the previous one got killed or captured, not together. People criticize 5th gen, but it's the first one where monsters were given more realistic ecologies with turf wars and such. I have a hard time believing something as aggressive as a Diablos wouldn't fight any other monster on sight over territorial disputes, for example.

Here are my thoughts on this quest for blademasters flashbombs, sonic bomb combines are your friends (more flashes if you're going HGE, which you should be on this quest). build high grade earplugs a lot of quest fails will stem from them roaring and charging you before you can react, do not bother with the horns (they bounce... off purple let that sink in), be very aware of the tail jank (all monsters) an example HGE RA2 SHARP+1 set is Red Khezu Helmet (blademaster def one) *2 artisan 1 decorations* *needs a steak but their acid can be steaks!* akantor blademaster chest (1 earplug 1 slot decoration) (this gives you HGE) azure rathalos gloves *1 artisan 3 slot decoration for 4 points* (this gives you sharpness +1) *needs a heavenly sorrrrry* akantor blademaster pants expert 2 slot decoration azure rath boots expert 2 slot decoration (you'll be at 15 points for expert now) *needs a heavenly sorrrrry* once they enrage on any hit, they're catchable, you probably won't have room for tranqs if you bring full potion and flash combines though. now if you'll excuse me, I have 8 g rank twisted horns to farm with my HEAVY BOWGUN, god is it satisfying shooting these things with pellets.

I’ve been stubbornly playing hbg since mh3u! I used to beg my friend to get on to cut tails for me in the old games! 😅 I also would attempt to cut tails with bow melee attack… attempt is the key word!

You should be able to use this: forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5476 However I recommend instead, if you want some more features and such that you use this instead: github.com/FUComplete/Patch a HUGE benefit to using FUComplete is that you can have every single event quest active at the same time, without it I think you can only have like 5 selected, and if you want to change whcih ones are active you need to repeat some process, I dunno. FUComplete adds a bunch of really really nice features as well, you can read up on the github page, it's honestly such an amazing thing, I might make a video talking about it one day.

what recorder and editor do you use

I used to use Fraps, then I switched to NVidia's shadowplay for various reasons, most notably convenience and also the recordings seemed to mess up less. I hate how shadowplay shows a big "Now recording" message in the top right, it's really annoying if I'm not able to crop it out. For this video I tried using OBS, and it froze at one point :/ Really wish it didn't because eventually I should probably use OBS over shadowplay, gives me much more control, but I guess if it works it works, so, we'll see. I'll probably use Shadowplay again for the next one, I dunno, I also recorded this at 1080p, all of the other ones were at 720p. I'd like to do 1080 for a variety of reasons, the main one being so I don't have to crop the video every time because I play in a window and shadowplay records my whole desktop unfortunately. I use VEGAS Pro to edit. tl;dr Recorded with NVidia Shadowplay (OBS for this video in particular) and VEGAS Pro to edit.
