I keep going for the milk and drink combo. I prefer the maxed out health and stamine and just use a demon drug afterwards. Even tho meant and vegetable is a bit stronger from a damage perspective.

Yeah, IMO the most important skills are Heroics and Gunpowder. I usually don't go for any felyne whim skill in particular, and I don't like dismissing cats 😥 but if you want to go for some, you can go for those. Even heroics and gunpowder aren't totally necessary, and I'd say gunpowder, for the one fight I'd recommend it for (White Fatalis) is more needed than Heroics.

@@HeadHunter455 It's alright i just did some research about felyne comrades, i decided to hire a Scrapper cat that only uses melee with strike to K.O small monsters but a guide would really help out others who is new to the game. Btw this is my first MH game so i didnt really know what to do haha and i found out about your channel, now you're my GO TO when i needed some help on weapon/armor recommendations, boss fights and basically everything, thank you. Im planning on trying out MH Portable 3rd soon but now i wanna focus on this game more it's kinda addicting.

I hope you're having a great time 😊 Yeah, the short guide for Felyne Comrades is to get a cat who uses melee only and focuses on small monsters first (but not only) so they can get the small monsters for you while you focus on the big ones. I say no bombs because they can hit you and knock you around which can be disruptive.

Lmao yep! Apparently. I haven't seen if it's really worth it. I *think* bombs are more effective, but again I've never tested it. I usually just go around it. I might try and figure out how it works sometime maybe, for a bit of trivia lol

@Why so serious? hey its cool, yeah, the skills are mostly(?) passive buffs or changes in game mechanics that will last until you faint or the quest is completed. If you get a kitchen buff you can save it by saving the game, then if you faint in a quest you can reload your save and try again. It's worth noting that there is also a felyne whim skill that will make you keep your kitchen buffs even after you faint, but it will still go away once the quest is abandoned, completed, or failed.

😉 Well, have you seen Dragon Ball? Or most shounen anime things. The characters eat a ton of food, and, I think, it ties into the Japanese concept of Ki, and how, I'm assuming, it probably uses a lot of energy, so they have to eat a lot to have that energy. That kind of thing. And Hunters do channel Ki/spirit energy, like the LS spirit gauge, Greatsword and hammer Charging, dual blades demon mode, and probably even stuff like rolling around carrying potentially super heavy equipment, and blocking attacks from gigantic monsters with a lance etc., probably uses some of that channeled energy. And monsters probably do it too, particularly Elder and black dragons etc. Can also explain why there's no fall damage, I suppose :P

That's what I use, it gives you Attack Up Large (+7 raw) and +40 Health, but there's other potentially decent options. You could do Milk + Drink for +50 Health and Stamina and then use a Mega Demondrug in the quest, which would be the same as the kitchen Attack Up Large, there's also the various other buffs you can get like elemental resistances n stuff.

If you go to the chef board on the left side of the kitchen you're able to set some chefs as being on "Break Time" Go to the board, select "Shift Chart" then next to each chef you'll see the word "Chef" you can select that and then select "Break Time" and it will treat the kitchen as if you have one less chef. You can actually set all chefs to Break Time, and if you try to eat you'll get a message saying "No chefs are present." Kinda funny.

You need a specific chef, not every cat can give you Heroics. You will also need to eat the type of food that they are skilled with, and even then there's only a chance to activate it.

You can get them from Thunderbugs, they're the glowy wisp looking things, you can find them in the tower quest in 5★ village where you kill 10 remobra, or in some high rank guild hall quests.
