The last 30 seconds or so of the fight were godly I could swear you can only carve Diablos' tail once though. Carve-wise, Monoblos is to Diablos what Gravios is to Basarios That rock at the center of area... 8... 7, i don't remember, is stupidly useful to make it get stuck, i find it a reliable exploit for breaking the horn And i forgot about commenting it in your Plesioth guide, but monsters seem to almost *always* hipcheck after turning a 3rd time, they usually just turn twice to reposition after and before an attack, while a shorter 3rd turn indicates inminent hipcheck Cool guide

yep I said that in the diablos video, and yeah, monsters like Monoblos etc will sometimes turn more than twice, it's usually slower, and is just so they can aim at you better, it's not always a hipcheck, pretty sure Rathalos will do it sometimes for fireballs or bites or something or rathian with charges, but I don't remember. I don't get Monoblos or Diablos stuck unless I'm breaking their horns, I just focus on the tail to kill it as soon as possible. Thanks for watching :)

Yep, most/all charge moves have some form of tracking I believe, just some monsters (like Basarios) will track so slowly you could walk out of the way most times lol

Another thing to add that i found hunting it. When the monoblos burrows he doesn't constantly track the player like the blangonga or the daimyo. Instead he checks for the player position after some time and attacks that place, even if you already moved. That's why is recommended to move a lot while he burrows, he should never catch you that way

That works pretty well, though you'll do a lot more damage if you hit the tail. The shot hitzone for the head is 40, the neck is 80, but the tail is 120, which I think is the highest hitzone in the game, or one of them.

I'd recommend using LBG for sure, you can use piercing shots and get its horn stuck in the pillar in that one area, or a wall somewhere, though the pillar is a good way. I can make a short video about it maybe, we'll see. Use/do something like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZWck5SYa8qIjMU I can clear monoblos/diablos pretty quickly and easily with this method and gear, if you can't get this stuff, just use what you can. I managed to break it's horns using Dual Blades, if it got stuck on the ground using the sonic bombs, just devil dance on it's face, sure some hits don't hit, but it's enough to do so. Also make sure to trip him as well so you can devil dance on its face.

Excuse me do you know why my monoblos horn is never break? I stuck him in to the pillar in area 7 for like 8 times and it only drop shiny on first 2 and it never do anything more than that, and it doesn't break too.... Do i need a bomb to break it or a hammer maybe?? I'm using LS btw

You just gotta keep smackin the head, there's not really anything too special about it. Using bombs can help, Monoblos' head takes a little more damage from cutting weapons than impact ones like Hammer, actually, though knocking it out with a hammer might give you more of an opening to deal more damage, the difference in damage is pretty small, and Monoblos' head is pretty tough, it doesn't take much damage in general. Long Sword will work fine, you just gotta keep hitting it's head, getting it stuck when you can, it'll break eventually. Good luck!

Remember to stay close enough to make dodging it easier. I've been really busy but I've been meaning to make a short explaining this, basically, a bigger circle is a longer line, it's a longer distance to travel, a smaller circle is less distance, and you can make the circle you need to make smaller by getting closer to the monster. If you're too far it's like an "O", bigger If you're closer it's like an "o", smaller Hope that makes sense lol

If you're in area 7, there's a pillar in the middle, try and get it caught in that, ideally on one of the edges. It's easier to break the horn with a bowgun. I can try and make a quick video showing that if I have time.

In low rank I don't really think so, in high rank it's not bad, but it's main utility is a risk/reward playstyle, staying at low enough health to activate Adrenaline+2 to get a big damage buff, and you'll need a couple of decorations to get there too. If you want it, go get it, if not, I recommend armor sets at each point in the game. Assuming you're using blademaster weapons: Hermitaur, Garuga, Rathalos and Azure Rathalos is good for low rank, Ceanataur S is good for basicall all of high rank.

These videos are only meant to help get through the quests. To break the horn, you can get it stuck in the wall in area 7, do that and hit his head a few times until he gets free, then do it again until it breaks. If you focus on doing this at the start of the hunt you shouldn't have any trouble, but if he leaves the area, you can use traps, or try and get it stuck in another wall somewhere, but keep in mind it doesn't work everywhere, like in area 5.

I highly recommend getting flash bombs, Use Gunner Genprey armor and Use the Bastionmage(made from gypceros) , Bring 5 flash, 10 flash bugs and 10 bomb material, 60 Pellet Level 2 and Bring Huskberry and Wyvern Fang(idk if its Fang or Claw to combine for pellet s level 2, Flash the monoblos and attack the Butt and tail with pellet, then repeat and repeat until it dies, just flash and flash easy, you can kill it in like 5-7 mins Edit: Dont Superman Dive when he roars, It will just kill you, Same can be applied to diablos, Just dont dive

pro tip for the borrow atack, do the chess horse move , go back bit and the move to the side, and you will be in perfect position to counter atack the sec after he burrows he will lock on on the position the you are, and always will go there, it will never lock again if you move to temhe side, best atack to cut his tail

Just fought this monster yesterday. If I'm being honest, it's quite easy the first I fought it. It keeps burrowing itself into the sand and I have to yeet so many sonic bombs to get it out of the sands. I remember throwing, like, 7 bombs that time. I honestly kinda feel bad for bullying it like that. Might give it another shot... just to be sure. Oh, by the way, I'm using the Kut-ku armor set for its attack buff and Blango Decimator (Longsword) since it's weak againts ice.

Not too much, monoblos is hard because monoblos far fast than diablos every aspect movements set, when entering rage mode, charging attack to become more fast and end up you got hit fast, in freedom unite, monoblos hipcheck and tail actually have hitbox including below leg monoblos, it's just same hitbox diablos.
