I am loving your videos! I have been "minimizing" for years, and I don't know how I just barely found you! I have followed Joshua Becker, Marie Kondo, and others for several years. Most of what you talk about is not new to me, but I love your presentation! I love the research and science you bring to the table. So many people make videos about minimalism, which have been motivational for me, but you are the first person I feel like I am really gaining new knowledge from! Keep it up! I know this is an old video, I started at the beginning of your channel and am binge watching during Christmas break to catch up to your new stuff. I homeschool and work from home, so my home is where I need the most peace, and I always tackle projects during winter break and summer break, because I have more time. This will be fun for me!

Hello Mia! I started a huge mission of decluttering my house on Tuesday and it has taken me ages! It’s Friday today and I’m really feeling a dip in my enthusiasm for finishing it off so I needed some inspiration and I found your video! Ah, my motivation is back up to full! I can’t WAIT to have a clutter free home! Woo!

Yes I heard about Swedish death cleaning from a Swedish Minimalist KZbinr - and this is what I keep in mind as I pair down. I really love your videos - your intellectual approach - so different from others. Your arguments are solid, and so good!

I agree about decluttering and sometimes it's painless. The other day I went through my late husband's sock drawer looking for something and in 10 minutes, it was clean and I could see everything! Sometimes it's work. One day about 4 years ago, my daughter was using her dad's computer and she said the file cabinet next to his desk wouldn't close. I grabbed a laundry basket, pulled out a wad of files and shut the drawer. Then I said to myself, "You need to get organized here." And I ordered the Freedom Filer system. It was the best investment I recently made. I found things I really needed and got rid of 25 year old task returns along with 12 bags of shredded paper I didn't need. It makes it so much easier to find things now. And last of all I pulled out all my plastic containers, matched them with lids and removed the cracked, broken and orphaned parts and now the cupboard can breathe! It makes it easier to put away things. Oh, and when you straighten out the pantry, you then know you're out of tomato sauce, but you have 23 cans of green beans (yikes!). And last of all, you can live in your house guilt and stress free, cause less stress for your loved ones when you're gone and sleep at night -- or maybe not sleep because you're so excited about your clean home!

10 minutes! That's quick and also a win 🙌 You've been busy with a mix of decluttering AND organizing and that it's made a massive impact on your life over the years. Goodness... yes.... the tupperware. I think that one is a common problem in many households 😂 Looks like you are getting a head start on a video challenge I am releasing soon, stay tuned 😉

Now I feel like I don't want to clutter up my space after getting rid of a lot of furniture, it's so great. Yes I agree with quality over quantity, it's worth it to get something great compared to getting cheap stuff over and over again.
