woohoo - love the outcome; the changes you made to the upper shelves were spot on. The only tweaks I would suggest it putting a couple of hooks on the fridge wall inset so you can move those shopping bags into that nook when not in use (less visual overload) and possibly getting some neutral bins/baskets you can label for the w/d shelves to hold the different categories (helps keep visual calm/orderly effect and makes it easy to grab off the shelf).

Great that you decided to make better use of the space but also that you made it attractive and more functional. You are so right about the corners on the shelves. When you put the first shelves up that corner did look off and took the focus away from everything else. Appreciate that when you decided to not build a new house right now that you decided to improve where you were instead of just 'making do'. Such a positive outcome and you make it look so easy. Really makes a point that taking time and doing things correctly is really worth it! Thanks for the inspiration!

Awesome job you two! Its looking really nice. Have you thought about putting on some hooks on the board beneath the fridge shelf? You could hang some excess bags there. I also think the slimmer shelves above the washer will work better because things don't get shoved to the back. I bet you are happy to have all the things out of the livingroom !

Thank you for the tip about screwing in a little more for the hardware screws to be able to fit through the drawer! I know sometimes thing seem so simple to some, but I've actually never thought of that... We've always had to go back and get longer screws! 😁🫣 Beautiful job!

My hubs is such a great shelf hanger. We are a large military family, moved 23 times before retirement. He has put more shelves like this up in more houses than I can count. I love putting these above bedroom doors when the door has a little entrance way. In my current bedroom, I put my purses in baskets up there. Looks neat and you can't tell they are there from outside the room. Most hall closets can have a second shelf added up high to hold those light bulbs, and out of season scarves and hats.

Very nice! Very always heard that you shouldn’t “suffocate” your freezers or refrigerators. Meaning there should be airflow around the appliances so that they can work efficiently. Air flow for the top has been cut off, so it would be important for air flow at the sides. All in all, a wonderful, educational video!

Looks great ! the only potential problem I see is the fridge/freezer and the lack of airflow .. Fridge can overheat
