Matthew is the first hurricane I miss in 40 yrs :( Miami has a real unique feeling right before a big storm. it gets a little cooler, you can smell the ocean air as far inland as Hialeah and all your friends are calling about the local Hurricane Party... These Vlogs are absolutely something amazing to watch and see. You get a first hand at which to see what emergency services, and in this case, the police, specifically City of Miami, do. The best part is that the Vlog is interesting too. You don't see this happen and the fact that City of Miami is doing it, is something wonderful. As a suggestion: Look at doing patrol vlogs every now and then so people can see what a day of a City of Miami PD Officer goes through.

Hey Nick! I want to start off by saying I love the vlogs! What a great idea to "humanize the badge" & show all the different ways your department serves your community, awesome! It also shows MPD is very progressive & creative. My question comes from your SWAT vlog ( i know...it was quite some-time ago lol) I am a career ff/medic here in Northern Kentucky. I am the SWAT medic for my county's team (Boone County Sheriff's Department) but I am not deputized & I am not issued a weapon, however, I am allowed to participate in all aspects of shooting during our monthly trainings. I noticed that the medics on your SWAT team were carrying side arms, are they sworn members of MPD? Are they issued a weapon all of the time or only for call-outs/training? I was hoping you could elaborate on this a little bit. Thanks in advance & keep up the great work! I look forward to the vlogs each week!
