Wow, Nice ! Im in the process of doing much the same with a 1.6 forged engine. I would be really interested to know which gearbox and diff your using? Ive read the 5 speed is only good for 250 bhp and the 6 about 300bhp. Or are you just hoping the transmission just hangs on as long as possible?

First off, Law, my compliments to you for having such a nice running, nice sounding car. However, is it necessary for you to drive like a maniac on those narrow English roads? It seems that you're taking a lot of chances and assuming that the other driver is always going to do the right thing. Also, you're barely there with traction. Loss of traction could throw you into oncoming traffic or cause you to totally lose it. How would you feel if you kill someone? You are endangering others by your hot-rodding and reckless driving. You should channel your urge to speed into running some competitive races, either drag racing or Gmykana. I don't mean to be critical -- I can see that you're a good driver -- but I think you're a menace to others on the road!

Rick Hilton I totally agree with you. And as I said in previous posts I have zero excuses. It does look much worst on the video than it was. I only ever open the car up in open/wide 60-70mph roads as a rule and in places I know the road well. I say wide roads it is the UK after all and this is wide to me. Still no excuse.

Law, just be careful and safe. With that much power on tap, the car can suddenly do something unexpectedly. like swerve into someone else's lane. I like your car a lot. I've owned 2 1990 Miatas. My first one was bone stock, but I added a lot of after-market add-ons and it looked very much like your car. My second one was a turbocharged car. Someone else had done EVERYTHING to it, from top to bottom, from radiator to LSD, braces, shocks, brakes, etc. It was a completely different feeling car than my first one. Frankly, I didn't like the extra power! Strangely enough, I always had to be super careful and respectful of the extra power it had. I actually preferred driving the stock version. My current car is a C3, 2008, with retractable hardtop. I love it! It's smooth, comfortable, and has "adequate" power, having a 2 liter engine, 167 HP. There's really nothing that I need to add to it since it already had dual exhausts, LSD, big radiator, braces, etc. Stay safe and don't end up in the hedgerows! BTW, did you dyno your car?

Agreed 100%.. Law, please take it a bit easier out there so you have plenty more years to enjoy such a car. There were a few (well, more than a few..) moments that could have ended in tragedy. Clearly a skilled driver in a well sorted car but driving this way in this kind of environment there's too little room for error

DaZiomas a set of forged rods will get you to 300. Of course the more supporting mods the better, pistons / oil pump etc etc . But the weakest link in the engine is the rods.

I would say that was a spirited drive, you were all over the slips in traction and well in control. The car seems properly dialled in and really pulls, could you share the build or the place you had it done? Only thing I would say is be mindfull of your closing speed to other traffic. I have a GTR and close in on things all the time whilst travelling much quicker, I always assume the other driver hasnt seen me and am always prepared to be ready if they have mis-calculated my closing speed. LOve the video though and you have a new subscriber

Hey dude, did you do a ring gear swap onto a Torsen for a 3.6? About to rebuild a Torsen II but use the 3.6 ring and pinion from my Tochigi-Fuji diff
