He shreds in base pickup and plays his melodies in the bridge pickup like a noob
@FaithfulReasoning3 жыл бұрын
He plays few licks then just goes to his same old shredding
@thomasfischer92592 жыл бұрын
you probably play the same three scales and hide your playing behind 50 bends.

Really glad this Era of shred is no more. Talented? Absolutely.. but it's so trite, tasteless and pompous. He has the capability of being more tastefull and selective but sticks to boring runs and exercise style shred. Yawn. Respect his skill and pioneering but this is just bad musicianship.

He just shred's absolute nonsense. Shredding is not nonsense, but what he is playing is. Mindless patterns. No melody, no theme. It's not music it's desperately trying to impress people to keep your career alive. It's also sloppy. No note definition. No, I couldn't do better. I'm not a shredder but I know good playing. This is not it.
@jackson777ification3 жыл бұрын
did you even listen to him play? this is a wild opinion, and an anomoly, and untrue. do you even shred bro?

@@jackson777ification it's absolutely shocking.
@jamesemerson41023 жыл бұрын
@@jackson777ification try and show me a line that he plays that is creative and unique. They are all just really non creative patterns played as fast and sloppy as possible with horrible tone. I don't have a problem with terrible tone in general but when you lie to your audience and tell them that they won't be able to get a good tone without a sawtooth amp, that's crossing the line. It's sad and it's dishonest.
@gerylagrande3 жыл бұрын
@@jamesemerson4102 his tone is horrible since he started playing 100 dollar sawtooth guitars And a 120 dollar sawtooth amp 😅 😅 😂 Listen to no boundaries or rainforest or his jazz concert. This dude is a legendary great player and a master in rotational right hand pickslanting that's why he can do all the chromatic machine like runs that are purely alternate picked. But yes MAB has some bad days too like all of us
@jamesemerson41023 жыл бұрын
@@gerylagrandeYeah, I don't have a problem with the cheap gear but when he lies and tells people they won't be able to get a good blues tone without a sawtooth amp, that is just sad and dishonest. I respect his picking technique, but the dude just comes across as a fraud to me. He always mentions that he's studied jazz, and only ever gives one single example of Breezin' played terribly by himself. He always has to mention over and over that he's toured the world, big noting himself, and that he's never been hurt. Look at me, look at me, I am so great. I just don't see the guy as humble at all. He also talks up sawtooth so much and says that other amps can't do what they do. He just talks so much shit, this guy.
