Yoel is actually still somewhat active in bellator he’s fighting at 205 currently sadly lost his first fight against Phil Davis in decision. They want to schedule Romero vs mousasi which would be a ridiculous super fight in my opinion. But as of right now yes yoel is still staying active at 44 years of age his next fight will be against Melvin manhoef on may 6th 2022. Keep up the great work mikey loved the video!

Condit always comes to mind, he got the interim belt, was a slightly harder head kick away from KOing the goat, but then that fight against Lawler where he won the fight but the judges gave it to Robbie…. Idk just feels like a nightmare being that close so many times.

@@kaic-m2865 WEC belts were the most prestigious belts for the summer divisions before they were incorporated into the UFC, but the heavier divisions were never on par par the UFC, Strikeforce belts were never on par with the UFC belts. Pride belts 100% were on par with the UFC, and a tally the Heavyweight champion in Pride was seen as the best Heavyweight on the planet.

Wonderboy, Nick Diaz and Chad Mendes spring to mind. I think Covington and Ortega have a real future case. They are fighting against top ranked pound for pound fighters, established dominant champs and taking them to the limit. Staying at the top of incredibly competitive, shark tank divisions.

I think korean zombie has a place in it, he has always been in the top 5 (in the most competitive divisions of ufc) for over 10 years and he has managed to come back to a high level despite his military service which prevented from fighting during his prime.

With all due respect towards Gus, I do remember the perception back then that he was the best LHW behind Jones and DC but I don't believe that was really the case in hindsight. He had lost to Phil Davis early on in his UFC career and he was also coming off a loss to Rumble Johnson when he fought DC. He never crossed paths with Ryan Bader, which might not have gone in Gus's favor. He does have wins over Glover and Jan, but that kind of highlights the state of the LHW division at the moment. I'd replace Gus with Rumble Johnson since he managed to defeat Gus, Phil Davis, Nog, Glover, Arlovski, and Ryan Bader.
