It was a concession given by the Office of Legal Council during Watergate concerning whether or not Spiro Agnew could be indicted for tax fraud and kickbacks while in office. Even then, the OLC was unsure of the decision and even stated that the pros and cons for the decision to indict or to not indict were equally valid, they simply had to do *something* at the time since it was unprecedented and the DOJ was incredibly concerned that Agnew was next in line after Nixon was to be impeached. Essentially, the decision was made for that climate. It can be challenged at any time and could very well concede that a sitting President *can* be indicted - it's simply a matter of whether or not the DOJ would actually look into the history of the decision, but with Barr as head this is incredibly unlikely.

Yep... Obama called it... He said to the media that Trump didn't want to be president... And he basically said "The guy [Trump] really just wanted to try to give his real estate business a boost, but thanks to some of you guys (the media) letting him off the hook on his lies, now, we worried about making it past Cleveland ( the 2016 RNC convention).

@@adamtzsch Leaked Clinton e-mails revealed that this was actually part of their strategy (so called "left wing media" are super pro-Clinton, if you didn't know). They wanted to prop Trump up so she could beat him in general. "You want people to choose the fox, show them the wolf as alternative". And yeah, by contrast she didn't look so bad and even won popular vote.
