Early mercyful fate and king diamond are masterpieces and one of the defining moments in hard rock and metal history. Michael Denner is one of the orchestrating members of these magical moments. Fantastic stuff thanks for this amazing interview. You don't get classier people like that anymore.

Michael Denner is a true legend. Check out his later work too, for instance Denner's Trickbag.

Michael Denner is excellent guitar player, he has his own distinctive style and sound. 🤘🏻 His solos is very enjoyable to hear. Also Ken Hammer from Pretty Maids is another formidable player.

Let this be a lesson to everyone. That every Mercyful Fate album was played on knockoff Japanese guitars! You don't need a Gibson to get good at playing guitar.

King Kong and Godzilla on guitar, Mercyfull Fate is so much alive! 🎯

This man,..ended his conversation respectively,...I think as much as you don't want to be a evil guitarist..the guitar itself is an evil on its own..those who, really play will know the secret

Its a shame he got sided by King and Hank.

King and Hank have been quiet about it. Truth is, we will probably never know what went down between them.

I think Michael just wants to be a private person again. He has a record shop in his home town and I think he enjoys that. Easier commute to work ya know! lol

It seems that Denner wanted to be part of the reunion, and when one of the Denner/Sherman albums came out, started an issue with King, which is a shame because his solos are memorable. King with Denner Sherman is unbeatable.

@jacf33 the issue was about artwork?

Awesome guitarist. Andy LaRoque was better but Michael was excellent.
