This was performed at Madison Square Garden in New York City in September 2001. And I believe it was only a few days before the tragedy of 9/11 happened. The 2nd concert of this perfomance was held on September 10, 2001 but Britney didn't perform with MJ at that one. This was also Michael Jackson's last actual concert performance before he died in 2009. Michael was 43 years old here and yes Britney was 19.

This wasn't actually his last concert performance, Live At The Apollo Theatre was, it wasn't as big of a setlist, nor is there any footage of it anywhere (except a little two minute snippet and audio of the whole show, but it exists. He performed Dangerous, Black Or White and Heal The World, I hope I get to see it one day.

Yes to more Michael Jackson classic performances! May I suggest Dangerous 1995, or maybe the 1993 Superbowl? Fun fact, in and after 1993, you might see him lean in a way that feels literally impossible. He actually owned the patent for the shoes he wore to pull off that trick. Also, his dancing is unique, but really heavily inspired by Bob Fosse. You should check him out for comparison.

This is MJs pretty standard performance for this song he always did this song live in this way in terms of dance and walking around the stage "chasing" the hot girl and his standard dance break with going to the ground, thrust hips, etc. MJ was a perfectionist, as Britney is (you should watch some of her VMA REHEARSAL videos for ones you've done to see how much work Britney puts into her performances. Both are incredible performers who know how captivate audiences. They actually did this at MSG two nights in a row, the first night a different girl played the female role but didn't sing as it isn't a duet usually. There's always a runway type model who does the walking around/tease. But all the audience sequence in this video are from the first night so they aren't actually reacting to Britney but to MJ since Britney wasn't there the other night but same audience shots. Some extra interesting tid bits!

This is just a little insight for you guys. At 3:12 he wasn’t creeping it was actually a signal for her to walk because she didn’t do it on time. She actually missed a lot of key parts and Michael ending up replacing her for the official performance.
