No really, you can force your enemies to dance until they die. And of that doesn't get you interested, wait until you hear about transforming into MEGA MICHAEL. Hee Hee.

Well, both Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast could have that title, to be honest. Sega just loved these kinds of games but it might be one of the reasons why they ultimately failed at the console wars. I wish they would come back to making consoles just so they could bring those weird-ass games again.

The sega Genesis sound chip doesn't uses Midi Sound Format, the Yamaha sound chip is a FM synthesizer that produces his own sound Format and is completly diferent tham Midi Samples

Midi doesn't really use samples by itself, it works the same on a sampled soundbank as on an fm synth.

MIDI = musical instrument digital interface. It's a universal format to play back notes in digital form (binary). Anything can play back a midi file if it can make notes. The smd is more likely reading the vgm file format which is like midi but includes more information than a standard midi file to make more complex sounds from the sound chip, in this case the YM2612. However. If the game was using the GEMS sound driver and stock instruments without adding envelopes to add expressive 'sweeps' to the composition, the result can be quite clunky and hence dubbed 'midi' sounding.

Everything with sound or light is triggered with midi-commands. Pretty much everything from Megadrive SNES were using sequences music but the NES and MASTER SYSTEM pretty much had programmed music in the assembler code.

I remember having that Game in the Past for the Commodore C64 and Man it was the DEFINITION OF HARD! The Levels you missed in this Version, they were in that game, driving around, trying to not get caught by that crazy fans and so on. BUT what made it real hard was the fact, that you only needed one hit in some levels and you could begin from anew or you was teleported to the beginning of the level and that level wass resetted. Thats important, because you often needed to collect key elements somewhere in that labyrinthical levels to get out of it. But you not got out of them automaticaly when you had collected them all, you still had to find the level end to finish it. I only got ONE TIME to the Bar, and that was... I mean the third or forth level? Can't remember. The game was all about reflexes and memorising the right paths... and alot of luck because of the NPC Enemys. ^^ BUT if you like to have it HARD, try that version. Graphicaly and sound technicaly not the best, true, but man was it hard! Also I mean to remember, that every Moonwalker Game that came out to that Time, was different and only had some special Aspects of that Movie. So if you have the full experience you... HAVE TO PLAY THEM ALL! HAHAHAHAHA... xD

"Another Part Of Me" was first prominently used in Disney's Captain EO movie, in a scene with (lite) Giger-style alien horror designs. I think that's why they chose it for the graveyard level, with Thriller off the table, since it was kinda-sorta associated with a horror-y thing.

I 100% believe that Captain Eo is what Michael Jackson did before he came to Earth. Also he and David Bowie are from the same planet, both sent to Earth to destroy it but ultimately they both fell in love with Earthlings and their music, that had only been used as a tool for war in space whereas it was mostly just for fun on Earth and even the occasional dance battle was only a fight for dominance with the loser not being killed like what would happen in space. Their love for the pure innocence of Earth dance made them both abandon their mission.

I actually beat this as a kid because my parents had bought it... I wasn't a Michael fan and yet I beat it because it was one of the few games I had... I was thrilled I beat it and didn't feel any urge to play it again... It's quite likely I still have it somewhere with my genesis... Somewhere...
