They showed why the Jacksons are still called legend in this performance. I can't believe they were at least over 40's when they did this. Their dance, their singing, their harmony... are very touching.

@@leodejongful The added amazement attributed to it certainly, the fact they hadn't performed together for decades, and that they were one of the most successful groups in their time really helped this performance to appear truly spectacular, especially with all the lights a noise generated. I agree that Motown 25 was certainly fantastic, but because there wasn't such a large audience as this and not as many fans there, the amount of noise was less, giving it less atmosphere

So True. Today's Artists are just ok. You'd think with all the role models before them they'd know how to do better. But then again Talent is not something learned. *You just got it or you don't.* The Industry changed a lot too by letting anything in. Before you had to be exploding with Talent. Even for TV & Movie Roles they had to know how to Act, Sing, and Dance to be cast. NOT Today.

Step outside of the music... Realize that this show was the night before the 9/11 attacks in the USA. This concert was the LAST normal thing to happen here before the world completely changed. This is visual evidence that his music has powers. That man and his family brought the world together. Look at the crowd, there's EVERY type of person. All of them are singing the songs word for word and dancing along. You can feel the unity, the electricity. Understand where this moment falls in world history and you'll watch this concert with a completely different perspective of it. 👀 He gave us so many iconic moments in his lifetime but this is the most important one.

9/11 was not the catalyst to the world changing. Just because white people can't fathom that they have caused irreversible damage to other countries does not mean that a terrorist attack on a country that had committed millions worse tragedies negatively impacted the world for the worse. Glad they got to do this before MJ passed Edit (One Year Later) 😂👇 To all those correcting, yes I know this was eight years before he died. What I meant was that it was a miracle they even did this reunion, since the last time they were even together at that point was 1984, and this was 2001. Thats 17 years. Plus they were not on the best of terms for most of that middle period. If they put this off for a few more years we would have never seen them perform again, and Im glad we were blessed with a reunion show and they could at least for a time let bygones be bygones.

Michael died 10 years ago today...R.I.P. To the King of Pop, coming back every year to edit this comment. June 25, 2020: 11 years in 2020, gone but not forgotten June 25, 2021: Thought I'd forget? Nope, music is honestly much more empty without him. I don't think anyone who's alive rn will ever live to see anyone who comes close to or even TOPS Michael Jackson, but it's not impossible. R.I.P. to the King of Pop June 25, 2022: it's that time again. for me it's easy to forget he's gone just because how much I still listen to him. be it the Jackson 5, The Jacksons, or the solo MJ...We can never forget the Jacksons. Reebie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Latoya, Marlon, Michael, Randy, and Janet. The greatest family of music to ever live. 13 years without the lead singer and the biggest entertainer of all time Early edit (9/10/2022): this concert is now officially 21 years old June 25, 2023: Mike is still my most listened to artist but I definitely heard a lot of songs for the first time in the past year: break of dawn, off the wall, give in to me to name a few. 14 years but never forgotten. But I'll drop my favorite songs; Rock With You, Remember the Time, PYT, Off the Wall, Break of Dawn. Next year if I get any new favorites I'll drop em

I’ve been in a Michael Jackson rabbit hole the last days, and I’ve just realized that what makes him so addictive to watch ( to me at least ) is that you can tell that at all times, in everything that he does, be it a concert, be it an interview, he is always giving it all. I find this so vulnerable and yet so sharing. He shared himself in everything he did. even when he is not feeling his best, even with everything that happened to him, he just kept giving himself in fully . I don’t know, I find that as sweetness and very addictive.

The very first concert I ever attended was The Jackson 5! That was in 1971 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Yes, I do feel blessed to have witnessed Michael's greatness in person!

Legends. Seeing their mother, Mrs. Katherine Jackson’s face expresses all of the word we cannot articulate. We are blessed to have live in this time to hear and witness this music. With heavy hearts to what would soon take place in history.

the last normal thing of 2001. The next day(9/11/01) is when everything will changed. The last normalcy of America was a Michael Jackson concert. Just imagine how many people he may have saved by having this concert. Many people who worked on those towers where there that night and got the next day off to sleep in.

You see how all those GROWN women and grown men reach out to him and cry and love him so passionately? That's called true love and admiration. No other man got this that ever lived. The Beatles got some Screaming Elvis got some Screaming, but no one has got what Michael has gotten from people👍🏿🖤 (2:10) pause

Stevie Wonder is pretty damn close. Not with the people fainting and crap, but the smiles and applause of sheer respect and admiration.

I’m 23… grew up loving Michael Jackson (after he died of course) I’ve rewatched this multiple times the last day or 2. The Jackson 5 understood music and entertainment like no other. True showmen. True entertainers. True masters of their craft wow. Makes me emotional to see how many people they moved, reached by being genuine artists. Much love to all ❤️RIP THE KING
