Crazy thing about Michael Jordan that made him different from anyone whose played in the NBA is Jordan was lethal not only off 1 foot dunking but he could stop on a dime at full speed and jump off 2 feet. You don't see that at all from players in the NBA running at full stride and taking off of 2 feet to dunk it.

Saw the best dunk against Barkley live in the early 90's. Still trying to find it. Jordan breaks right, beats his guy and enters the lane on the top left. Barkley sees him from the right block and comes up to try and defend. They both jump, they meet chest to chest at the apex of their jumps, Jordan reaches over Barkley and jams on him. Barkley is knocked off balance, falls on his back under the basket, and Jordan hangs on the rim above him for several seconds. Barkley is on his back looking up at Jordan hanging on the rim above him. Jordan lets go, drops, splits his leg so his feet land beside Barkley, spins around, and runs back down the court. Barkley peals himself up off the court, and jogs back up the court shaking his head like, "what in the h*ll just happened to me?" That is the BEST dunk ever against Barkley, and probably the best POWER dunk of all time, yet it is apparently lost to history. I thought it was a regular season game of the 92-93 season, but I watched those games and didn't see it. Maybe it was in their Finals series -- have to watch those next. If not there, I will watch the 91-92 regular season. I want to see that dunk again. It was N-A-S-T-Y!

Pip was a point forward who could get his own shot on offense and shut down opposing point guards on defense. Besides, the Bulls didn't want a typical power forward. They had Horace Grant, who was a rebounder and could run all day. Both Pippen and Grant were long and fast and suited MJ's game much better than Barkley would have. Replacing Pippin with Barkley is crazy talk.

If i recall he shot 11 fewer times per game. Championships are great, but they are like a meme in that they don't give you the complete story. Jordans played in the one on one defense era....LeBrons era is the zone defense. Jordons cast of characters is way more impressive than lebrons and i don't need you to acknowledge this truth. I am old as dirt and can recall watching nba when baltimore had a team (bullets) and dave cowens won the mvp. I watched at least 30 games of the bulls every year on wgn cable during their run. I might even introduce jabbar and bird to the argument
