Thing is, MJ respects that kind of reaction a lot more than trying to ignore him or being agreeable/nice. When hes playing, he wants your best, when you play at your best you lose your temper at times, because you are so passionate. MJ was saying ok, we are really gonna go bring it and ill bring it too, and it just makes him BETTER. Most people get flustered and off their game in that same situation, MJ becomes a monster.

Of the many things NBC Sports did so well with their NBA broadcasts, two things that I think people often don't notice that added to the atmosphere were the transitional fades between camera shots and montages, and showing all replays in 3/4ths speed. The use of transitional fades gave the games a feel more like a movie/dream than an average sports broadcast, it was a little touch, but it's something that ESPN never used. ESPN uses sharp cuts from camera to camera and it just doesn't quite feel the same. I'm probably in the minority, but I also preferred the "disappearing scoreboard" NBC used all 12 seasons, compared to the over cluttered scoreboards and tickers of todays ESPN/TNT broadcasts. I understand it is meant to appeal to casual viewers who might just be peeking at the screen once in a while and want to immediately know the score, but c'mon.

These young guys who come up against MJ don't understand their being challenged by a 38-40 year old living legend who is way past his prime but still dropping points effortlessly. They are kidding themselves if they think they are better than him at this point in his career by trying to dominate him because they are alot younger. It's a joke and it's embarrassing. You won't get any cred from me by trying to beat an old man. Try beating him in his prime. That's when you'll get the cred. MJ would destroy all of their careers without hesitation or fear.I truly believe this!!!

You don't shoulder the GOAT like that, that's totally provocative and disrespecting. Jalen Rose was just a young kid needs lessons by adults.
