Michael said in this E.T. interview that when something happens to you like this ( cancer ) you look at every moment differently. This is so true because last year I was told that I had cancer of the bladder. After the shock wore off I also began to look at life and people differently. So many resentments vanished and I realized that it is all about LIFE and how you live it and treat other people. I am happy to report that after 40 some radiation treatments along with many ciemo treatments the cancer is gone. They told me that I was a very lucky man. Lucky ! That's hardly the word for it. During my recovery I prayed to my own personal God and God must be here because here I am to share this story. God bless us all.

I remember having a backstage pass to one of the interviews he was on. I was only 14. Anyways, he came offstage, and saw me. And I must of made a fool of myself, because I burst into tears, knowing that he was going to die. And he came over, and put his hand on my shoulder and said his quote, "Remember me with smiles and laughter", and I really tried to stop crying. I nodded and put on my best smile, then I could see that he was tearing up just a bit. That was the best and worst day of my entire life, and I will treasure it forever.

Not trying to be a jerk, but I don't know how else to say this. If you do an image search for him, and get a high resolution image, he didn't have very healthy looking skin. Absolutely looks like the skin of someone who smoked a lot. His upbeat personality, snappy dressing, and full head of hair kind of covered up some of it for the cameras, especially for TV back when everything was shot in low resolution.

I am NOT a sentimental guy. Nor am I necessarily very religious, but here goes... This man made a successful career in Hollywood, earning the respect of everyone throughout the industry, by making wholesome, family-oriented, Christian entertainment. What an astonishing achievement. I can't think of anyone else- short of Mister Rogers- who has made such an impact to generations of viewers. And his shows weren't fluff- some of them dealt with some very serious issues (drug abuse, rape, suicide, etc). I absolutely believe in this man's sincerity, his pure soul, and his faith. The Lord decided that Mr. Landon had done what he came here to do and took him Home.

I'm watching re-runs right now of Highway to Heaven. That's obviously what brought me here. However, what most folks don't know about him was that he was a VERY spiritual man. He believed in family unity and that was shown on "Little House On The Prairie". His spiritual being came in the form of "Highway to Heaven". It's unfortunate that we don't have TV shows like these two in today's day and age. Because if there was ever a need for them it's now. Especially, with the way our world is right now. So THANK YOU Michael for bringing these TV shows into our lives and homes. They were truly inspirational and there messages were profound. God bless.

It's called "the Silent Bell" in cxase you're wondering)... and his good side comes out through the performances but he was reportedly a heavy drinker, adulterer etc off screen and wasn't that spiritual at all. Totally agree. It was good 'clean' entertainment... It was a breath of fresh air - a nice refreshing change from the ever-present theme for TV entertainment these days of 'who can get into who's bed, and how many times'. Little House had actual stories to them - and to tell the truth I suspect a lot, if not all, of the women watching also fantasized about having a 'perfect' husband and father to their kids as Charles Ingalls was. Just like all of us, Michael came here with a job to do. And he did that job so well. Highway to heaven changed the world, after it people's attitude towards disabled people changed for the better, and he got through to so many people with his message of "spread I little love and kindness and it becomes contagious" once his job was done, he went back home to god and his loved ones, and all of his loved ones he left behind will be with him again when their time to go back home comes.... Thanks Michael we appreciate your work tremendously.

This is the most touching story I've ever seen! The amazing courage of this man who had everything in the world to live for as he faced the knowledge that he was dying of incurable cancer! What an extraordinarily brave soul he was! And what a perfect example for how all of us should face the last days of our own lives when that time comes! God bless you, Michael!

God still makes men like him every day, but the world corrupts most of them. Michael Landon had a way of blocking out and not allowing the world to influence his mind. Where can one find a man like him these days?
@MadMax-dr6mf6 жыл бұрын
No, that's crap and you know it. Character has nothing to do with the general spirit of the times per se. It's all up to the individual and setting ones own standards. If times are harder, and people worse in general, then that should make a striving individual stronger, with even better character.

Michael was such a talented , sexy, and handsome man. He was so brave. I can't believe he died within 3 months. Everything he says is true. It can happen to anyone at any time. When my granddaughter was a week old, I began cancer treatment. I prayed for God to allow me a little more time to watch her grow awhile. I wanted to see her grow and see what she would look like and know a little about her personality. It has been 3 1/2 years and I feel very fortunate. So while everyone complains, argues, and hates, life is far too short. God bless you, Michael. I am sorry for your suffering. ❤️🌹❤️

James Henderson , That is just being human. My favorite Beatle, George Harrison smoked all his life and died of cancer, when he was 58 years old. It is sad to think of all the talent and all we are going to miss from them. It is strange that George's son said the last thing George said was, "Love one another." That's what Michael told his family too. I hate to think of the suffering cancer patients go through. Back in the 60's people smoked on the television all the time. What a shame.
