Agreed. UW had that late first-half drive where Penix passed them down deep into UT territory and then the OC forgot everything about the team and ran the ball up the middle on 4 straight downs, turning it over on downs. That should have been at least 3 points, if not 7. That was some of the worst coaching I've seen all year from UW. How do you just take the ball out of Penix's hands?! I was staring at the TV just incredulous at the series of play calling. And, that muffed punt that gifted UT a touchdown. At halftime, it should have been 24-14 or 28-14. Start the 3rd with that TD drive and it's 31/35 - 14 and a different game from there on.

Penix projected as a 3rd or 4th round pick, which seems crazy. The draft evaluation says he needs better accuracy. Against Texas he looked pretty accurate to me. He also has a cannon for an arm. I suppose pocket mobility and making plays off-script will be the biggest hurdles he needs to clear at the next level. I would definitely love to see the Vikings take him 2nd or 3rd round if he's even still available. He could definitely be a steal in the draft.
