+Michael Babcock this is the best analogy I can give it and it made perfect sense when I heard it and keep in mind I'm not trying to condone what he did because yes it was awful. But think about this, we kill bugs everyday whether they're bothering us or not we still kill them. When we find bugs in our house we don't just pick them up with a napkin and put them out, we just kill them cold blood. Now I can guarantee you there are plenty of bug collectors that are in the world who probably see us as savages for doing that because of their love for bugs for studying and collecting. So if you saw a bug in your house and you killed it and a bug collector found out and thought it was an outrage would you stop killing those bugs or would you say, "hey there just bugs its not important". it's the exact same circumstance. Again I'm not trying to be that guy, I just can't fathom how big Ben gets into sexual trouble more than once and we sweep it under the rug but Vick is still getting hammered for this years later. Again I'm not condoning what he did, but I know me personally I've done some things that I'm ashamed of and I would hate if my family and my friends and the people that knew me didn't have the heart to forgive but to continue to remind me of my past and I'm sure you have your things that you've done to that weren't perfect but I'm sure you don't want anyone bringing it up and throwing it in your face. No static, just an opinion. :)

He murdered dogs with his bare hands. He drowned, hung, electrocuted, and shot them. Serial killers murder animals like that. He brutally executed innocent dogs and abused the others. Some even died after they were rescued from their abusers. He locked up dogs in small cages, starved them, and terrorized them. They were in the real prison.

Easy to pretend to be sorry when you get caught doing wrong. The only thing he is sorry for is being exposed for the greedy monster he is. The dogs he harmed might forgive him. I'm smart enough to see through his act. He admitted that he knew all along what he was doing was morally wrong. So he is really only sorry he got caught and had to suffer a short inconvenience and a little discomfort. What about all the pain and suffering of his victims.

He's admitted it and explains that he grew up in the ghetto where dog fighting was the norm. He didn't understand , just like often abused children grow up to abusive their own children-it's all they know. He has done thousands of talks across the country even though it's not a part of his community service to help people understand why dog fighting is wrong. I love animals and grieve for the torture that his dogs experienced but I do forgive him because people can and do change-and I believe that he has.

'I can't even imagine what that was like for you Michael!' Good grief!!! I wonder if you can even begin to imagine what it was like for the dogs he pitted against each other, for the bait dogs and the breeding bitches (who usually end up as bait dogs themselves once they are are no longer useful for breeding!) I wonder if you can even imagine why you are showing any sympathy towards this man. What he 'dealt with' on that first day doesn't come close to the terror and pain he put so many dogs through!

Michael Vick took a dog and hung him by the neck “by placing a nylon cord over a 2 x 4 that was nailed to two trees located next to the big shed.” When the dog didn’t die, Vick put on the pair of overalls he wore when he did not want to get blood from the dogs on his expensive tailored suits, and drowned the dog in a 5 gallon bucket of water. He took a second dog that would not die from hanging and tossed the dog to the side, later hanging him again, this time until he did die. Even when some of his co-conspirators wanted to give away dogs who would not fight rather than kill them, Vick refused, stating “they got to go,” meaning the dogs needed to be killed. Vick beat dogs to death. He watched dogs drown in his swimming pool, he shot them, he electrocuted them, he buried them alive, he savagely abused them, he took great enjoyment in it, and he found it funny to watch family pets being torn apart.

All he could say about his actions was, "It was wrong man." And the fact that he didn't become "disgusted" with what he had done until he went to prison is just as disturbing. His lack of sincerity just shows that he's NOT sorry, he's all about himself...he doesn't seem to show any remorse whatsoever about those dogs and what they went through. He only cared about the fact that he was in prison instead of on that football field. I wish the reporter/journalist would have asked about the dogs that survived and found loving homes and how he feels about them? Or how about the dogs that are in Utah that will forever be at that animal sanctuary because they can not be adopted or heal from all the damage this man caused? I read the book, "The Lost Dogs" some of his partners/cousins that were a part of Bad Newz Kennel's suggested that they find homes for the dogs that wouldn't fight...Vick's exact words were, "No kill them." What a nice guy. In the book, there was a dog referred to as "The Little Red Dog" when she wouldn't fight they threw her down the attic stairs, then took her outside, Vick took her back legs and another took her front legs and they swung her like a jump rope, they swung her little broken body and slammed her into the ground again and again until she was dead. That's what some of you Vick fans don't seem to understand, his actions were beyond cruel, someone that is capable of these things is severely disturbed. Some of the dogs that authorities found buried were not even dead when they were buried according to autopsy reports. Vick mentioned in this interview that part of the reason he was ever involved in dog fighting was because it was, "Fun, Cool and exciting" Are you f--king kidding me? What exactly is fun, cool and exciting about dogs ripping each other apart? What is cool about dogs that live a life on the end of a heavy chain, that are left there to nurse themselves back to health (if you can even call it health) after a fight? What is fun about hearing the screams these animals make when they're fighting for their lives? Any person that can stomach a dog fight and/or be excited about it or think it's "cool" is a seriously sick, sick individual. How any human being could take God's creatures/Man's Best Friend and hurt them to that capacity isn't human in my book...pure evil!!!

@@TEXAS_TARA It doesn't matter what he went there for. If you were in his shoes, you'd think that nearly two years is enough. What he did was very wrong but he still spent 21 months in jail and that was enough time

I do not understand you people that are sewing so much hate at Vick. Did you all forget that in the same year that he got nailed for dog fighting Dante Stallworth killed a man while driving drunk, hit him on the side walk while he was waiting for a bus, and he only got 30 days in jail and you pricks want to nail Vick to a post over animals. What about the wife and 4 kids that don't get to see their dad or husband because of Dante, nope wasn't a dog no one cares. You all need to wake up a bit.

***** How in any way are your statistics relevant? Its almost as if you are implying because he abused animals he committed homicide. Its a correlation, and every correlative doesn't automatically get attached like that. Also, you clearly don't study forensic psychology, because that would mean you understand statistics, and within the first week of stat, you would learn that any study claiming 100% relationship would automatically get thrown out, considering it indicates a minuscule sample size. And your telling him to do research, when he didn't make any claim that warranted research, he just pointed out a double standard. And if you have studied forensic psychology, you should try to get your money back.

***** How the hell is drunk driving accidental when you make the choice weather to drive or not. What research should i do, tell me. It to me seems like you are the one that needs to do research seeing as you seem to be of the mind that animal cruelty breeds killers and drunk driving can be vindicated.

***** You posted totally irrelevant studies that imply Vick is a sexual abuser. Please learn what a straw man is because you post is a shining example of a strawman. Nobody gets charged with killing animals? VIck did, admitted guilt, did time. Why do you want him crucified when he is one of the few who took responsibility. Get off your fucking high horse, read this comment section, Michael Vick is absolutely hated for what he did to animals. Just because nobody is as butthurt about it as you doesn't mean nobody cares about animal abuse. OP is right, the fucking activists want Vick crucified, but we are lax on drunk driving deaths. You hold Vick responsible for terrible decisions, but not a man who drives drunk. Get your priorities aligned, they are both atrocious crimes and we need to hold people responsible. Vick did his time, Stalworth didn't get shit, 30 days. That's not justice

Murder is used exclusively to describe human killing human, by any definition. Seriously, any dictionary specifies human being. If you think that it should extend to animals, fine, but your using the word disingenuously to provoke some sort of emotional response. I don't agree that no one cares because it wasn't a dog, and i never implied that, but he is accurate in the high horse animal activists who want him crucified, and I only posted to point out how ludicrously irrelevant your cited studies are. And they continue to be irrelevant. Here is the key point, Vick did his time, and has shown reformation in behavior. If this is the case, then defending him is perfectly rational. As far as I'm concerned anybody who is irrationally mad at Vick is upset with the system, that's not his fault. But there is no reason to say defending him is irrational. We don't assume guilt on principle, not even for the previously guilty, that is irrational. Defending him for doing his time is not irrational.

He knew it was morally wrong, if he knew that and still did it he didn’t care. He has no morals. The sad thing is that he didn’t get sentenced for dog fighting and should have. He’s a POS and will never change. He is a monster. The fact is he didn’t care that dog fighting is animal abuse and the ones that didn’t perform were brutally murdered. What part of that is okay?
