I had two friends who had abortions while they were in college. I did not find out until we were all married with children. BOTH women told me that everyone told them how the abortion was going to “fix their problem”. They both also said that NO ONE told them how they were going to feel afterwards. BOTH of them said that after their abortion they have never forgotten. A year after their abortion they would see a year old baby and think that their baby would look like that. And the second year the same. Then the third, and the fourth…… they have NEVER forgotten nor will they. And now that they have children it has become more real to them that they were wrong to abort. As I heard them explain this to me they looked so broken hearted. I pray for my friends every day.

I was a scared 17 year old laying on an abortion table at Planned Parenthood in Houston, Texas in 1978. That summer, I had found out I was pregnant. I was about to enter my senior year of high school. I was an honor student, and I had plans to go to college. My world was crashing down around me. This was not supposed to happen to me. I knew I would be letting down a lot of people, so I convinced myself that an abortion would be best for everyone. When I checked in, as I was filling out the paperwork, I was disappointed that no one tried to talk me out of what was about to happen. In the waiting room, I was struck by the tea party like atmosphere. There were cookies and punch sitting out on a table. I wondered to myself, “Do they not understand the significance of what we are about to do here?” I sat there, stomach churning, knowing in my heart of hearts that this was so wrong. They took me to the examining room and while I was on the table I was informed that it had been overlooked that I was not yet 18 years old. As a minor, it was required that I have parental consent in order to have the procedure. I told them that my father was deceased, and I knew my mother would not consent. I was then told they could not proceed with the abortion. The decision had been taken out of my hands. I was going to have this baby. A tremendous amount of peace came over me. When I told my family, they were disappointed, but at the same time, there was no question that I had their support. Holding my daughter for the first time changed my life forever. I had never felt so much love for another individual before. All of my fears and reservations melted away at that moment. There are times I shudder when I think how close I was to taking my own child’s life, merely out of my own selfishness and promiscuity. Forty-five years later, I can still say she was the beginning of everything good in my life. Her arrival into our lives brought blessings that continue to this day. How selfish I was to try to deny this world of this precious gift. Today, my beautiful, caring, and talented daughter is married with two wonderful daughters of her own. Each one is a treasure and a blessing, yet none of them would exist today had I ended her life inside my womb. There are many women who went through with the abortion and sadly, even years later, deal with grief and the pain of regret. Regret is a powerful weapon in preventing you from forgiving yourself. If you have ended a pregnancy and struggle with your decision or have made some other life-altering decision in your past, be kind to yourself. Embrace your pain, and then let it go. Turn your experience into something positive to help others. God can take the broken pieces of our lives and make something beautiful out of each one. Chilling!!! I love it! I had a 76 year old psychologist who told me she had 4 abortions and never regretted it (40 odd years ago). When my husband and I were only married a few months I fell pregnant but she tried to talk me into having an abortion because it was earlier than planned... shocking, my daughter is now 18 years old and is the most amazing human I have ever met. I made one bad decision at 16, in 1992…I got pregnant and thank God every day. He saved my life. His biological father died when my son was 5 months old and I was 17…. My husband adopted him when we got married in 2004, my son was 11. We celebrate 20 years of marriage in August and we’ve since added 3 more sons to the family. They’re all 31, 20, 17 and 10 years old. Wouldn’t change that “mistake” for anything in this world. He made me want to be a better human being so that I could be his mother.

Micheal, I have just found out a week ago that my husband and I are expecting our first child after 26 years married. We didn't think we could have children but have now been told that I am most definitely pregnant at age 45. We are obviously nervous and going for our first ultrasound this Wednesday and very excited. It was explained by my pastor with a theologian degree that a child has to reach an age of accountability (which differs for each child) or have an understanding of what sin is before the Lord would send them to Hell for the rejection of salvation. So an aborted child would have never been able to reach that point of accountability.

Michael my wife and I suffered 3 miscarriages. It's the most painful thing I ever went through. To say they might not get to heaven due to lack of baptism doesn't take into account baptism by desire and baptism by blood. Even if that doesn't qualify as baptism by blood, Gods mercy would have to bring them to Heaven or why would the life have begun in the first place. It's had to be childless not by choice and to hear the Anti-life people say abortion is the same as miscarriage is agonizing. I also feel all those pains you applied to the abortive parents, when I see my friends kids and my nieces and nephews and think my kids could have been their age had they gotten to live. Miscarriage is the hardest experience because there's no funeral, no visitation, just grieving alone with my wife.

I lost one due to ectopic in January this year. I will never forget that. It’s honestly something I don’t let myself think about too often because I know I can’t change anything. I didn’t even know I was pregnant until it was obvious something was wrong and then my doctor told me and I saw the ultrasound with an empty uterus and a cyst in my tube. We are now pregnant again and I’m honestly scared, but hopeful for this one. But it is hard, what happened can’t be erased and only us and those we’ve told/will tell know about it.

I have had a miscarriage as well. The religion that I associate with (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints) we believe that children are not able to sin or to be held accountable until the age of 8 (that is why we have them baptized at 8). We also believe in baptisms for the dead where we can baptize those who didn't have the chance on this earthly existence. It is their choice to accept it or not. :)

We entrust those babies to God's infinite mercy which is the basis for our hope for them. Yet, we do not have knowledge, God hasn't revealed that to us. The situation in that verse is a bit different. Those who suffer with past abortions should still offer prayer and fasting for their children, with confidence in God's immeasurable mercy. A close friend of mine - who had been convinced by the pro-choice lies - just recently named her two children lost to abortion. Pray for those who were convinced they had no other choice. I’m blessed with my 3 kids. Now they r 30,24 n 22 years old. Let me tell u something u don’t have to be Christian to know it is wrong to kill ur own baby. I’ve been in congested heart failure for 15 years. I was born with congenital heart disease and when we got pregnant with our oldest I was 16 he was 17. When I had him I just turned 17 n my husband was 18. I’ve had a severe heart condition literally since conception cause it’s a birth defect. By all accounts I shouldn’t be here right now. My cardiologist told us that I won’t be able to do natural childbirth and a c-section is dangerous for me. I said “ ya? Ok, watch me!” And I had my son naturally and I was in full labor for 36 hrs. I’ve been pregnant 9 times. I had 6 miscarriages. Then finally we being married had our second child and my kidneys were bad and my heart was enlarging. I would not allow them to induce my labor because he wasn’t at least 5 pounds and I didn’t care about my life I cared about my child’s life. They also said my heart can’t tolerate natural birth I’ll die and I said “ ur wrong and watch me!” He finally was 5 pounds and they induced my labor and it was excruciating, but only 6 hrs. The 36 hrs was way less painful. He was my perfect angel. And 2 years later I got pregnant with our daughter and my Dr.’s all told me to terminate and I said absolutely not! I did become ill during my pregnancy. I couldn’t hold anything down at all. Not even vitamins. It would take me all day to get down my Flintstone vitamins. That’s all I can tolerate. I had to leave my job I had 27 kidney infection and stones 17 times my heart enlarged and I got gestational diabetes I developed a lot of illnesses and my body kicked its own ass. They ended up doing a C-Section as soon as it was safe and she was perfect, but I never bounced back. My daughter is now 22 and she is an amazing human being. So what I’m in congested heart failure and on oxygen n I’m on strict medication and bed rest. That was gonna happen anyway it’s just a lot sooner than I’d like. I had a great run and I would do it all over again and twice on Sunday. I was ready to die to bring each one of my kids in the world. The one thing I was bummed out about is I wasn’t allowed to have my daughter at the same hospital that my sons were born at cause it’s a catholic hospital and they didn’t care that I had 6 specialist willing to submit it in writing for me to get my tubes tied and they refused to allow it. So, I had to go to the city hospital. I’m allergic to latex and I can’t have birth control because of my heart. I’ve had 3 TIA’s mini strokes and I’ve had a pulmonary embolism as well. It was a sentimental thing. I had both my boys in the same room and I had the same hospital room in maternity cause my middle child was the only baby born in 24 hrs at the hospital so I got to pick any room I wanted. I had the same breakfast the morning after I had them. I used to say “ I have no right to tell someone what to do w there body.” I was wrong! I watched how an abortion at 13 weeks and I literally became physically sick. I watched that little baby fight with everything it had to live and it broke me. It’s easy to make a sign as opposed to actually being confronted with the reality of the child being killed. I’m Wiccan so I deeply believe in karma I believe from the moment we are conceived that our being is instantly intertwined with others and the universe when I watched that baby fight to live and then it was literally ripped from existence. It reminded me of the Guff. In the Bible when it’s talking about the signs at the end of the world it talks about the Guff the hall of souls and it says the final sign is the first baby born dead without a soul as a soulless child shall be and then the heavens went quiet cause there were no more souls and then judgment will come. That’s what it was life. One minute ur seeing the the sonogram this beautiful perfect little being was it a girl or boy?,was the universe now making this persons soul mate?, was he or she already born and this was the soul made just for them?,could they have saved important lives?, has the future as we would have known it also ripped completely from existence also? And then the quiet was deafening. I just watched this little person use its first of human instinct and that fight or flight and this lil one fought and it was ripped out of the uterus and then the quiet of biblical proportions is all that was left! I got sick physically sick! I never ever uttered “ I don’t have a right to tell someone what to do with there body’s” again! This should be played at protest and it it doesn’t phase those women after watching that they r aren’t human and should be fixed cause they should never have children in there care. I get never seeing it cause ur removed from it, but watching what I seen if u can still get the abortion then u don’t belong ever being a mother. Ever! I’m Wiccan. Life is supposed to be precious to us. The Devine feminine. The Madan the mother and the crown. They r the 3 stages of a woman’s life. 2/3 of a woman’s life is mothering n becoming a grandmother to still mother by extension. These crazy ppl r extremist. Logos is much more than "words only" in a book. "Word" is a weak translation of Logos. The seven "extra" books you refer to are the deuterocanonicals, and they were part of the closed canon for all Christians for over 1000 years. There are other books that are actually apocrypha that aren't in any Bibles.

Born again Christians know for sure if they are going to heaven. So if grandma was a saved Christian. We know she is in heaven. Unfortunately Catholics don't follow the Bible and practice unbiblical rituals.

"Born again" means baptism. And the councils of the Catholic Church determined which books belong in the Bible. But the Bible doesn't contain everything. It was never meant to.

@julieelizabeth4856 sorry you feel that way. Born again is not baptism. Being baptized as a baby does nothing. Catholic church doesn't follow the Bible. The pope is not a holy person. You can't pray to marry or the saints. The Bible does have everything. If it needed more, God would have put more in it.

No Michael your view of Christianity is the Catholic view of Christianity not everybody's Catholic so you probably don't believe that baby went to heaven because that baby wasn't baptized under the Catholic Church

I don't mean this in a mean way because I agree who could have worded it differently but as a catholic I have asked adults who work in the church and for it and the answer I have always gotten is we don't know what happens to unborn babies but we know that God is just, loving, and merciful. But we don't know if they go straight to heaven or straight to hell
