as i understand turquoise is found all over the world. not the same from site to site. that ring is NOT native american, however. so, it might not be sterling. maybe nickel silver.

9:26 As mentioned, the stone is turquoise. The ring appears to be from the American southwest. The older it is, the more likely it was made by a Native American tribal member. The style has become so popular that there are numerous non-native sources for this type of jewelry. Foreign products copying the style are also available. A genuine ring from a well-known maker can be valuable. See Squash Blossom silver for some examples made by the Zuni and Navajo for instances.
