I had to laugh, i thought warped head, then you cut to flat sanding lol. It was warped (overheated perhaps), looked like it had been machined after sanding. Looked smashing :-D a perfect smooth surface for a new head gasket. Did you check the bore side for warp, or was it fine?. Ive used a brillopad/wirewool for piston and gasket surface cleaning, handy stuff. Im glad your speaking in your video, working in silence is odd, you have to swear lol. Poor doggys, they didnt look too happy :-(. Those hale stones sounded big, bouncing off the paintwork.

Yes,maybe overheated. I have seen those leaks on many 600 xt.... Looks like it had been opened already,there are some numbers made by hand on the fins,on the gasket side. The bore looked ok,with the crosshatches ,and only minor zones with smoother surface. But we have no taken measurments,the engine does not uses oil at all,so i think it's safe to say the cylinder is ok,like the piston,because there are no signs of leakage past the rings. I swear more than i should,lol but i edit that ,otherwise i would sound like a maniac,and my brother too,moreover when we are working together lol The dogs were a bit afraid,and not that happy to be so wet,and the hale stones were hurting us pretty good... They won a good session of towel rubbing and hair dryer hahaha : ) Us too !

I dont think your a maniac, we all swear and get louder when stuff annoys us, the engine wont mind, it has no ears lol :). Sounds like the bore isnt really worn, no ridge at the top where the piston rings stop, sounds good ;-D. If you had not fixed it, the head gasket would have failed and possibly damaged the surfaces, it was worth a bit of work + cussing lol.
