Honestly the most smart things are usually simple. That goes for most things. It’s just that most people aren’t able to be creative enough to make even simple things
@CottidaeSEA
@CottidaeSEA 4 жыл бұрын
Redstone is simple. It's a bunch of repeated patterns to achieve the desired result. The difficulty with redstone is that you need to fit it into the designated space without interference. Of course, when everything is accounted for, you'll still need to a lot of thinking to make it work. So it takes time to work it out, which is really where the difficulty is. It takes time.

@@TheZoragon Nah, he enjoys making joke projects, but that's it, there's no reason for him to go deeper into engineering. He can make a video with a jokey idea every 6-8 months, score tons of views, livestream in the meantime and he's done. He's rich now. There's no need for him to study. The other dude likes more complicated projects and has the background to execute them. He likes doing this for now, but he won't have to go into massive studies for him to accomplish any of that, Michael would, and there's no need for him to do it because his joke projects are entertaining enough for a good amount of views. KZbinrs that hit success early slow down with time.

Stuffmadehere's robot is much more complex. They both use 3 degree of freedom movement, but Stuff's robot does it using 2 motors instead of 3, which already makes it quite difficult. The differential control to tilt the hoop is very clever I think is actually quite tricky to implement without something breaking (which we saw happened multiple times), especially considering the mechanical contraints of the belts. Stuffmadehere only glossed over the ball detection, trajectory calculation and prediction, but that's also more difficult than he made it seem. The surgery robot is absolutely impressive, but from a robotics perspective it's simpler than it looks. The motion detection camera directly gives you coordinates in a 3D space which you can just immediately push into the surgery robot. No extra mathematics really required, apart from converting spatial coordinates into motor input data, but that is quite simple as well. The end effector of the surgery robot also moves in a straight x-y-z-coordinate system, which is also very simple to control with the 3 motors he used. Though I think the mechanical design he used to construct it was splendid! I think from this video we can tell that Michael hasn't had a lot of formal mathematics and robotics training (I think he's mostly a programmer), but I believe he's studying it. I think with every video he's just getting better and better. Can't wait to see his skills in the future! I think both Michael and Stuffmadehere are very impressive and sort of complement each other well though. Michael is an amazing presenter, and Stuff is an outstanding engineer with lots of experience. Would be cool to see them collaborate on something!

If anyone is wondering and somehow sees this, he was a lead software engineer and a site lead at Formlabs before retiring in 2020. He has a BSME and a MCS degree.

that reference to 3d printers is interesting because i just found out that stuff made here was one of the earliest employees at formlabs! he played a huge role in making their 3d printers and thats what he did before stuff made here. he talks about it in his shop tour video

Hypertherm is a good plasma cutter, and Miller has great tig welders. TIG is an art form though. I was a Static welding repair man for a few years, so if you need any info on metal fabrication I would be happy to give you some insight.

I'm not a weeb. I started watching anime a year ago and im pretty sure that naruto is one of the most iconic anime out there. I don't even want to watch boruto. I thought of the analogy because I thought of some actual reasons why they are similar, even though now an afterthought, I realized it is pretty cringy.

I yeah fix the optimizer from trying to swish the shots all the time. How do you even begin to mathematically explain when does a moving basketball hoop need to swish or when it needs to bounce off of the backboard. What's next? correcting for the whiplash of the hoop when it reaches the destination?
