Awesome compliment man. Each build comes with its own set of challenges but I'd say the hardest part is usually ghost problems like what I had with this Raptor. Hey mike been watching your videos for a long time now. I've been starting my own atv repair for over a year. Your channel is great for teaching techniques and tips keep up the great work man! Also im sure you've heard this or know it but Yamaha stators for sport quads are really poor from the factory the carbureted yfz 450s would charge better if they had the headlights on. Ricky Stator has some really top notch replacements I put one in an old yfz 450 I had. Charging difference and starting was unreal.

I own a 2003 raptor 660r and definitely don't think that's an OEM header. Definitely looks like the Big Gun that I run except for the cover(mine is carbon fiber). They are geared really tall. I fixed mine with changing out the front sprocket for a slightly lower gear as I do a lot of woods riding. Also had the same problem with the parking brake making it hit hit the rev limiter to early when it was in a hard pull like climbing a steeper hill or getting it wound out on top end. Detected that and fixed the issue. The wiring harness on these does suck and I replaced the intire thing just incase and turned out that mine was just fine lol. Great build to watch and u did an awesome job for such a tedious build. Thanks so much for this.

What a wicked machine! Great job, Mike! Couple of things, the oil pump is a two rotor design, 1st rotor draws from the tank to the engine, through the filter, to the cam, and crank, and then the second rotor draws from the case, and lubes the transmission gears, and then pumps it back to the tank. Also, the case has an O-ring between the case halves for the oil circuit. Top speed is 74mph limited by electronics. There’s a impulse rotor that can be modified to increase the top speed.
