Michael Vincent Magic & The Vincent Academy

Finding our natural expression becomes harder the longer we leave it. Modern life robs us of our naturalness from a young age.
Studying magic is a perfect process to begin this journey. Larry Jennings and Derek Dingle both inspired me on this quest to unlock my natural expression.
I hope you get value from this video.

@@MichaelVincentMagic Listening. Often I forget to listen and observe my audience. Also to pause, take things slowly and don't rush. To sequence the routines for quality and not quantity. That's what my magic is missing. I so blind with perfecting my techniques and wonder why audience often responds wonderfully to the most simplest of methods and sometimes mediocre with some of the most difficult techniques. Not to say one should resort only to simple methods, rather to focus on the story telling and the end effect. I am beginning to think like a layman and perform for the layman; not designing my routines like I'm going to perform for magicians. I am currently reading Strong Magic by Darwin Ortiz and it's eye opening... You are quite a gentelmen and I like how you treat your audience and how the audience is responding to you. There is a lot that one can learn from you. The other thing I like is how you can make a person feel emotional and enjoy the wonderful art of magic. At least that's how I feel watching your videos of performances at Magic Castle.

I saw a video of @Michael Vincent performing the ambitious classic in a show probably aired in the 80s. There was Michael in the middle and an elderly couple on his left and right. So Michael was performing this trick for that lovely lady and the moves were so smooth! I was trying to find that video again, but I couldn't. Great to see it again! (although I prefer that old version. The moves, the talking, the atmosphere, and the genuine reactions of that lady were amazing)

This is pure magical, I can't believed it ! Although my curiosity wants to know how it is done but my feelings of awe and amazement get the best of me and makes me do not want to know how its done. I want to feel the amazement over and over again !! Thanks Michael, YOU ARE THE BEST !

This is one of my favorite routines! I love this routine and the ending is so amazing! Being a fan and follower and student of Michael I have to talk about how he is great to talk about his teachers and books he learned from. Michael has turned me on to a lot of magicians I was not familiar with before. Thank you Michael, thank you! Also here is another reason to follow Michael and to become a student. I perform for kids a lot. And kids are hard to perform for because they watch very very closely. They burn your hands to crisps. And they are very honest if Magic is good or not. Some routines I learned from Michaels dvds and downloads I perform for them I hear things like “That’s not possible”, “How did that card get in your pocket?” they don’t see a thing. Michael Vincent,Derek Dingle,Ed Marlo,Dai Vernon,Slydini,Larry Jennings study the Masters. And perform for kids or your own kids. They are good teachers and great critics and you may even inspire one to want to learn magic too. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Mike, You have made my day with this one. First you made me aware of the work of DD. Then watched a few youtube videos of his performances, as i couldn't find his book in print. When i saw him do this trick i was hooked. It took me a while to really nail it, then perfomed it for my guests at my wedding. This has become one of my absolute all time favourites. The photographer managed to capture the reactions and they are in the wedding album. Thank you. Massiive thumbs up from me. 👍 Take care.

OMG I stopped this video half way to look up Derek Dingle and the first routine I found was "too many cards" and I was like "oh man I'm going to ask Michael to do this one because it's messing with my head!" and what do you know. This is the third time I've watched your videos and had a surprising coincidence happen. I think you may actually be magic.

Natural Style! This is the phrase that I was looking for, which nicely describes your style of persona and magic. This non-scripting that you describe as advice is really what is attractive from audience member to yourself. It’s hard to believe that you were not this amazing personality originally. This is profound! This is an intriguing conversation.

I really enjoyed this one, class. I think it was Picasso who said "I've spent my life learning to paint like a child again", this trick reminded me of that, years of practice to make it look like a normal bloke holding normal cards with normal moves. Still waiting for one of your own, great tricks followed by "...and that my friends is true card magic.." ☺️
