Hey Loves, hope you enjoyed this silk press video. My intentions are to make people less afraid of using heat and to show how it’s helped my hair. I silk press my hair every 2 weeks but I do take breaks, do treatments and trims consistently! Any questions, leave them in the comment section.

I wash, deep condition, and flat iron with ceramic plates weekly. I would push it to 10 days but I work out almost daily. When your hair is used to heat, you won't need to put the temperature hot by the way. I go up to 360 MAX with one pass and that's only when I want it bonnnneeee straight. Washing hair is also easier because my roots stay flat all week and don't get all knotted up by wash day. Natural styles are a no for me because of the tangling that happens all week. My hair is long and to my waist, has been all my life and I been flat ironing my hair for 10 years.

Starting my silk press journey this Friday! I have 4c hair and I’m tired. Like I’m at the point where I’m willing to pay someone to care for my hair. I’m not tired because of my hair type, but because I’m just so lazy at this point. I have strong and long hair, but I wanna start treating myself by allowing someone to touch my hair!

Great video! My hair is the same length and I do silk presses weekly. I trim regularly and I actually use the same iron. I found my hair actually retains more length wearing it straight. I haven’t tried Olaplex yet, but it’s been on my list.

@crystalbrownmua
@crystalbrownmua 2 жыл бұрын
@@mmkay4920 Absolutely not! LOL. I’d say my curls are 90% there. If you silk press weekly for years like I have, good luck keeping your curls! I clearly gave up on wearing my hair curly anyway. I prioritized length retention. I’m surprised my hair reverts back, but I shouldn’t be because I use protein and moisture treatments, always heat protection, and my iron is never too hot. And I always do a clarifying shampoo!! OMG, that is so important for my hair, I don’t want heat on hair that has left-over product from last week (recipe for damage!). But please do not silk press as often as I do if you love to wear curls most of the time!

Girl...please say it louder. I have tailbone length hair and my hair starts to break off when I leave it in it's natural state or do twist outs and braid outs. love the video and your channel , but I doubt I would ever do 25 in a year. i like the versatility that comes from other styles such as box braids, braidout/twistouts, no-heat flexi rod/roller sets, hell even a good sew in….I would get very bored with this routine every 2 weeks for 12 months. also natural girls remember you do not need DIRECT HEAT to achieve straight hair.

This video title is misleading. Silk Presses for Healthier Hair&Growth!?!. Yeah ok. Listen everyone is free to make their own decisions. Titanium is the devil for people who are not professionals, the high heat that Titanium maintains is bananas. Ceramic 100%, not just coated is your best bet if you do your hair at home. And another thing SPEAK UP. WHY? Because it's your right to and its your hair. I don't care how professional or expert someone is. I ask questions or stop the service IMMEDIATELY if something doesn't feel right. I'm not handing over my money at the end of the service and leaving disappointed and dissatisfied. It's totally my fault for not speaking up. I've learned hard lessons that has taught me to do this
@anderiafrank4116

@@michelleeja412 I've been using a titanium flatiron for years and I have had no damage done to my hair. I use heat up ro 420 and still have long healthy waist length natural hair. I use it on my two daughters as well who also have long healthy waist length hair. You have to know what you are doing and use a good heat protectant. The point of the video was to show people that you can enjoy straight hair without destroying your hair if you do it right.

In a year my hair is normally to my low back. For a year your hair isnt very long and it may be due to heat. Maybe thats why you have to trim so much. Cut back on the heat and just stretch your natural hair without heat and you wont have to worry about tangles or heat damage, in turn you wont have to trim off all your growth.
