Former Princess Party Entertainer here! Usually in those circumstances the best thing to do would be to agknowledge and divert. I've never been in that specific situation, but I'd probably say something along the lines of "Wow, that's so interesting. I love your shoes, where did you get them?" Kids tend to have a short attention span so changing the subject allows you to move on pretty quickly. Occasionally a kid will press and just overall try to "out" you (you can usually see the motivation from the get go) and its usually best to eventually just start ignoring thier questions until they stop trying to ruin the magic for the other kids. I've had to pull kids aside sometimes and ask them to help me keep the secret because they think ruining it proves they're cool or smart. It takes practice but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.

@nataliejaneshields5 жыл бұрын
Hi I work at Disney World! (I'm not a performer, but I work in Entertainment.) The times that I've worked with Pocahontas, this has actually been a common thing to come up. She usually says something along the lines of, "Oh, so you must know all about my story!" and then she goes on to redirect the conversation to her movie. Usually the kiddos who are saying things like that are old enough to understand the situation and just want to keep the princess on her toes. But that's the fun part! There's a reason why Disney hires actual people and not just statues - the conversation is the magic part!

@caseygreyson41785 жыл бұрын
Jemima1377 well not exactly. The thing about copyright/demonetization is that they are making money off of it. If you were just humming at the grocery store it’s not illegal. But if you release a video on KZbin of singing a Disney song and you’re making money off of it, that is “illegal”. But here’s the issue: *it’s not.* there are laws on fair use. But KZbin’s system for detecting copyright isn’t very well-versed on those laws, and so it demonetizes videos even when they’re doing nothing wrong. It’s really messed up and it’s really sad because it makes it hard for a lot of creators to make a living on this platform when their videos aren’t making money even though they did nothing wrong.
@Jemima13775 жыл бұрын
@@caseygreyson4178 : Wow, thanks for taking the time to explain that! =) Super nice of you! I knew that releasing a cover version for example of a Disney song meant, you had to pay for the copyright. I didn't think, you had to pay for using it as Michelle is using it here - as part of storytelling, as a kind of 'quote' in context, not to market the song itself. Seems like that is true - but only in theory. I guess, fighting YT on a claim for copyright isn't too enjoyable... You are right: that is sad. I would have prefered not to have her bleeped out...

I've had so many experiences with characters complimenting me on my appearance! Anna, Elsa, Belle and Cinderella liked a sweatshirt I wore when I went to the park back in early 2015. I don't remember what it said, but it included something to do with books, coffee and cats. At first, I thought that Belle would for sure notice it and love it. But turns out, all four of them loved it! Ariel complimented me on my hair and loved how it looked wavy like hers, and Anna also liked that my hair was similar in color to hers.
@madisonschmidt73045 жыл бұрын
Haha! The Q&A section of the video had me dying in my chair the whole time! Michelle: "When you love someone, you just know." Sarah: "That didn't work very well for Anna...." I nearly spit out my drink when I watched that part! 🤣🤣 The thing that astounds me the most when hearing stories from my friend, who is a princess-for-hire, is that children do pay attention to this kind of thing and they know more than we think. It seems obvious, but they will ask questions that you wouldn't expect them to ask. For example, the Pocahontas question about the grave, that is an actual question that children have asked because they understand that she was a real person! I have heard stories about children asking why Pocahontas didn't marry John Smith or about Pocahontas's family. I seriously give so much credit to princess performers who have to think on their feet and who go through weeks and weeks of training so they can keep that magic alive for young children!

Bruh, first Michelle liked my comment and then Sarah Ingle replies to something I found funny, I guess I'm really lucky today. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate both of you guys and work that you put out there especially for those who can't afford to go to Disney. You still brought the magic to their lives 😊

I sometimes volunteer as a princess and just how happu you make these kids is priceless. Even just from and to convention centers the reactions of the kids on the streets is amazing. My favorite princess moment whas at dutch comiccon in march, this little girl was really convinced thst i was anna and she just kept going on like where are sven and olaf and where is elsa and remember when this happend and it was jist soooo magical because there wouldve been at least 10 other annas walking at that convention

Jasmine has ALWAYS been my favorite Disney princess. She's strong, doesn't take shit from anyone, and (imo) is the most beautiful Disney princess. And Michelle, no joke, you make a stunningly beautiful Jasmine! P.s. I first came across your videos 2 days ago and I've barely been able to stop since lol

What a wonderful video, you made a beautiful Jasmine. My daughters became a Disney Princesses at age 16/17 and have lived their Disney dreams here in Orlando. My youngest aged out just a few months ago. Needless to say, they were both very sad to leave, but what an amazing opportunity they both had. They will carry those amazing memories for life.
