With the last game of Jim Harbaugh’s suspension being a massive rivalry game against Ohio State, the pressure is on Michigan. Colin Cowherd and special guest Joel Klatt discuss the high stakes game and what winning could mean for both teams, Texas’ odds to make the playoffs, and potential future concerns for Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans.

Kyle McCord has better overall stats than JJ McCarthy this season. JJ has a higher completion percentage 73% and QBR that’s 178. Both have 4 interceptions. McCord has thrown for 500 more yards 4 more touchdowns has 80 more attempts and his completion percentage is still 66% with a QBR of 163. Which I imagine JJs completion percentage would be similar if he had 80 more attempts I think they would have the exact same stats. But I think they are virtually the same player
@datwolverine
@datwolverine 6 ай бұрын
JJ is way more dynamic and has a worse receiving core. I notice you failed to mention that JJ has 162 rushing yards on the season and McCord has -64. Not to mention JJ could’ve padded his stats against lesser opponents but he barely played in the second half almost every game. Actually watch the games and you’ll see that JJ’s ceiling is SIGNIFICANTLY higher. That being said coach Moore can’t get him in rhythm to save his life so the two will probably have very similar stat lines Saturday considering the defenses they’re up against.
@CuddleBuddee
@CuddleBuddee 6 ай бұрын
Amazing what not knowing what the defense is going to do does to a phony Heisman candidate quarterback. JJ has been the clear inferior QB the last 4 weeks. Also it's very telling how weak JJ is once you know, he has to play against an actual D1 defense. Look what he's done prior to the last 4 games against weak competition and what hes done against actual defenses in the recent 4 games. Exposed x2. Cheaters.

As a Michigan fan I am hoping that The Wolverines win this game against The Ohio State Buckeyes regardless of the whole Harbaugh suspension mess. We will learn this Saturday if the actual presence of HC Harbaugh on the sidelines with his team necessary to win a monster game. I believe OC Moore has been phenomenal. But. I'm afraid of Ohio States offense and it's ability to make big plays. It's going to be a nail biter.

And in ‘21 Michigan won that game by dominating the Line of Scrimmage on both sides of the ball. All their tds came from runs. If at week 5 the Pac12 was heralded as the best conference in college football, how is Troy Franklin at Oregon not getting love like Marvin Harrison Jr? Their stats are nearly identical, and the Pac12 had a better head to head non conference record.

Because fox and ESPN are SEC and Big 10 Biased. If Washington was In the SEC this year and was undefeated, they would be the number 1 team in the country. Funny how SEC teams were always being justified in rankings by being in a tougher conference but when another conference is stronger than those talking points aren't even bought up.

I would ask what defenses has Troy shown brilliance against? We have many instances of highlight reel plays and stats in big games for Marvin against big time teams in big time games against heralded defenses such as Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame etc. I think they may be a big reason why. Who has Troy done work against?

Why isn't Klatt coaching? Baffling. Anyway, I hope the Michigan players are listening to what Klatt said about being focused.

If you have seen a team play a bunch of times you may get a bunch of their signs or all of them if you are advance scouting and filming signs and plays and then matching them. I hear, not sure if it is true that they had practice film from some teams too.

I hate how they only talk Big10 football since Fox televises Big10. Every week they only talk Michigan and Ohio State

Not sure what Joel is saying about QBs in college not calling plays at the line but I’m pretty sure that Carson Beck calls plays at the line and changes routes and puts guys in the best spots for those plays!! Seen him do it this year so I know he’s changing some things at the line maybe not every time but he’s definitely doing it.
