Help!! I’m 32 and had a baby 15 months ago. I’m now 5’7 and 179 pounds… but I Gained tons of weight being pregnant. I Was up to 205 pounds and I’m normally 150. I started to develop varicose veins and lots of swelling in my ankles, feet and hands my third trimester. I had tons of water weight and just extra weight straining on my body. Which I believe caused the varicose veins. So I wore compression socks as advised. I think they made it worse because as I’d swell during the day i wasn’t wearing the accurate size and was on my legs and feet all day everyday. Swelling went away after having the baby. No swelling for about 4 months then all the sudden I’ve been swelling up again, ankles, feet, hands. I DO NOT have insurance anymore 😢 and I know this should be taken care of but just can’t afford it at the moment. But anywhos… my Varicose veins are behind my knee caps on both legs. And on the front of both thighs.. BAD! Also Spider veins on both ankles.. I’ve remeasured my legs before ordering compression socks. Following instructions on KZbin on how to measure correctly And I feel like they make it worse. Even with them being XL I sized up and I feel they still aren’t right. Because they are behind my knee caps should I be getting not just knee high compressions? And get full leg compressions esp because they are higher above the knee? And if so, how long should I be wearing these? I’m on my feet all day from the time I get up from the time I go to bed. I’ve been trying to sit more and take a break but being a mom you don’t always have time to sit when you please.

Find a local massage therapist…Start getting massages every month and stretch sessions. I go to Massage Envy in my area. Get inexpensive massage and use them consistently for a month then start to walk as much as you can bring a rolling chair. Your doctor can get a chair out of your insurance maybe. This helped me ..I hope this can help you.
