Watch that GW run by Blake, not only were the blocks on point, but the way Blake sets that LB up and makes him commit to the wrong hole, then jump cuts like Barry Sanders to the correct running lane is next level stuff.

"Earl Campbelled his way into the endzone". Excellent. I'm guessing most of the under 45's won't even get it. To them I say, do yourself a favor and look that Texas sized running back up and watch some of his highlights. Also, THANK YOU for complimenting and pointing out Carson Barnhardt. He has been so maligned this year by most fans. For him to come back into his normal position and play lights out, and really the whole O line settling down and getting the job done all day, was just a satisfying sight to behold.

I made the trip to The Rose in '98 for the Natty win vs Wazzu. Our seats were the WORST - the highest row right next to the jumbotron in the east endzone ......but it was still epic. We had a blast. No meltdown in that one Steve. Wish I could have been to this one like Steve enjoyed it.

I too was there in '98, one row lower than the highest row under the Jumbotron. But had a very good view of Woodson intercepted Leaf's pass in the end zone in the second quarter when Washington was already up 7-0. To me key play of the game, had Washington scored, and be up 14-0, it may be too big of a deficet for Michigan to catch up. A very memorable experience at the Rose Bowl.

Glad you were able to make it to the game Steve, sounds like it was once-in-a-lifetime moment for you and those give flavor to our lives. And good job by your son. Leaving a game early to beat the traffic is an absolute dude-code violation, with a double-fine if it's a playoff game. Anyway, it was a great win. The Wolverines had to get past the SEC teams in much the same way the Wings had to get past Colorado and the Pistons had to get past the Celtics. Go get em Monday night! A National title we aren't forced to share with some half-assed program would be great. Maybe the Lions can win the Super Bowl. But then again, God might say, okay boy, you've seen it all now, time to come home if that happens. Go Blue!

People often lament- “why do they keep running up the middle?” And now you know- that on fourth and three at the Rose Bowl with a game on the line on your own 31 yard line when the entire world thinks you’re gonna run the football you can throw a pass to the flat to a wide-open Blake Corum, and gain bunches of yards. #Glorious

Speaking of Blake only making the big runs in the biggest games. Well he spent most of the season, without using the jump cut. Probably some fear after the knee injury. Combined with the fact that it wasn't needed through most of the schedule. So I think Blake wanted to make sure that knee stayed healthy, so he would be there for the big games. When it's much more worth the risk!!

I am gonna take it all in for sure. But the one thing that has me nervous is the NCAA and the CFP taking this season away from us. I hate to sound like a negative nancy but that thought is constantly in the back of my mind. Like Steve said we may not ever in our life time have another special season like this again. And it would absolutely destroy me as a Michigan fan to have something we waited 27 long years for get taken away because the NCAA doesn't like our coach. I just wish the NCAA didn't move like a darn turtle when it comes to their investigations. We shouldn't have to wait until 2026 to know whether or not they are gonna hit this team hard or if we have nothing to worry about. But other than this nagging thought in the back of my mind I can't wait for Monday and hopefully come Tuesday we are celebrating our first national championship since 1997!

Josh Pate made a very good observation in terms of that Auburn team that had issues obviously not the same but they still have a championship banner. We will still have ours.

Don't sweat it. The CFP is separate from the NCAA. Michigan will not have the season and championships taken away from them. The whole world has watched this team win every game they played.

Alabama in the Rose Bowl makes zero sense. Was glad you guys won that one. Got the Huskies in the next one though.

Michigan is going to win on Monday. We will not be denied. Our defensive line is better than theirs and maybe our offensive line is not as good as Washington’s but it’s very close. We also have a pass defense unlike Texas. We will get to Penix they can get yardage that’s fine but they won’t score points we will score points, and we will win. We must win.

I’m not sure if you’re going to Houston or not, but I’d bet that watching Michigan win a national title might beat this win, depending on how it goes down. For my heart’s sake, I’m hoping for no drama and an easy win, but I doubt that’ll happen.

Michigan won in 97 at the end of the AP poll era. This is the end of the CFP x 4 era.

So great to get this win but getting it over Dick Saban made it even more special! I thought Dick could have been more congratulatory towards UM as well, instead of just saying "we beat ourselves", very disappointing from someone who's been there before.....

Steve, were you in Section 22 or 23, I think I passed you at the end of the game, recognized you and smiled but obviously too crowded to stop. I was in Section 24 .... love your podcast!

OSU and college football fan; No denying Michigan 's solid play in every aspect of the game. I will be surprised if they don't win Monday night. I'm envious of Steve being able to watch his beloved Wolverines play in the Rose Bowl. Way cool! Good luck against Washington!

Hard to beat SIX rushing TD’s. Bully Ball coming and if Iowa D doesn’t work - Jim Knowles Don Brown High Risk D NFL style will be tried - if not from down 1.
