Boy does this bring back a lot of great memories. Mick Grant was one of Pat's heroes when he was working his way up thru the ranks in the U.S. before joining the GP circuit. This was one of the Brands Hatch rounds of the "national championship" races in the U.K., which Pat, Barry Sheene and Steve Parrish contested in between the 500cc GP (MotoGP) races. If you could run at the front in the U.K. championships, you could run at the front on the GP circuit, the caliber of the racing was that good.
