Mick was 42 at Live Aid but was at the top of his game and could out-perform anyone half his age. I loved his 1985 album "She's The Boss."

About as good a live performance as you will ever see from Mick Jagger. Vocals were spot on and he was doing a full-on workout on stage. He certainly wanted his song to go over to as big an audience as he was ever going to perform solo. The only thing missing was Jeff Beck's crazy solo.

@airdriver4 ай бұрын
The thing is, Live Aid broke down so many genre walls. You had Hall & Oates, along with Eddie Kendrick and David Ruffin of The Temptation’s singing back up here. Then you had Phil Collins drumming for Led Zepplin. Madonna sang with The Thompson Twins, Beach Boys singing with REO Speedwagon, Thomas Dolby playing with David Bowie, Bowie and Jagger recording a duet and video. A lot of these were impromptu, last minute collaborations and some didn’t work but it was unthinkable before this concert.
@privatepenguin31374 ай бұрын
