Mick Mars was a foundational member of Mötley Crüe in the early 1980s - and he's never slowed down since. His riff-laden, bluesy, heavy-metal guitar parts have rocked radios and stadiums alike for decades.
In the latest On The Record interview, Mick speaks on his latest solo album 'The Other Side Of Mars', why he'd like to have Robbie Williams sing for him and how a dedication to music got him through early nights sleeping on cockroach infested floors. He also shares why - as a true rock star - it's sometimes important to 'break stuff'.
Dive into the whole interview and discover guitar tabs to your favorite Mick Mars & Mötley Crüe songs on the Ultimate Guitar site.

Just shows how much Sixx, Lee, and Neil lie. This man is still mentally sharp and clearly knows what he is doing.

Aww Mick 73, I can't believe it! Still love you sweetheart and remember our glory days (56 myself) hope you are taking care of yourself. I wondered how you were doing and yeah I've been living under a rock, had no clue you were still making music! Now I am excited to go looking for it. Gotta break stuff...oh yeah! I do hope for bluesy stuff, but I have various tastes too and I know I will love it! Cas from KY to Canada 💖💜💖💜💖💜💖

When i was a kid I remember getting Shout at the Devil, I was about 10 years old. I know Theater gets a lot of hate, but when I got that, I'll never forget it, by then I was really getting into guitar thanks to Randy Rhoads and Jake E. Lee. but I still remember for a long time I had reoccurring dreams of Mick teaching me guitar. The guitar work on Theater is still one of my favorites of his. I've been lucky enough to see Crue live in 3 different decades. Mick is one of the coolest cats ever.

I know absolutely nothing about Motley Crue, I couldn't name one song by them, so I am unsure how & why this came up on my YT Recommendations, but I am awestruck by the politeness & humbleness of Mick Mars, what a kind man he seems to be...I will also go check his solo album also. Many Thanks for posting this wonderful interview. 👌

Aside from Mick's days of being heavily on the booze he's always been in the thin side. And don't forget the guy is 73. You'd look a little worn too if you had to carry 3 jackasses on your back for 40 years. ✌️
