My mom is micks aunt Annie that you talked about and he talked about her in the dirt and many interviews. She passed in 2020. Mick was always good to us having us backstage at concerts. Mom use to drive him and one of the bands he was in to do shows in a old box van. She use to tell me all kinds of stories about him.

@@leewirt9380 now that is awesome !!.. I used to be a stage hand rigger,, I hung the light trusses and sound for alot of bands , but I never got to do a motley crue show,, they were my favorite 80s band ,, mick mars is someone ide truly love to shake his hand and tell him what an influence he has left in his "loud , rude and aggressive" guitar playing !! I agree... I dont mean any disrespect for John 5, he is a wonderful guy... But kicking Mick Mars out of the band to insert John 5 in, is like patching and old torn up pair of pants with a piece of new cloth... Which as a matter of fact, will end up being unfair even to John 5 himself... What will happen with John 5 when another one, or even worse, all of the original members die, become sick or too old to play??? I'm not saying it will be the end of the World, of course he can get more gigs, but, I don't know, maybe a feeleing of loss if he gets attached to the emotionaly as a brotherhood as it commonly happens with banda members... I don't know... Just letting imagination fly...

I agree as well 100% they should have called it quits after the end tour . Nikki , Vince , and Tommy could still go play with other bands , if they love playing live . But of course Nikki wouldn't do this because the name MC is where $$ is . He is the problem . The guy should have saved his money better . He's been making millions for 30 years .

This was good,no bull crap that is mainly gossip. When Motley Crue first Strarted ,I got tickets from Nikki ,I worked at a Music store in Burbank California, called Killeens music. One note Frankie, as everyone called him ,because he basically either was riding the E or A string ,which was tuned down a whole step,Micks idea! Anyway, I was x at the first show ,at a place called Pookies, no fight, basically no people, buy I met the manager, micks brother in law, who dumped a half million into the band, with the promise that he would be repaid when Motley got their advance when they got the record deal, instead they fired him and wrote the song bastard about, him, that should tell you what they are like! It's hard to say this when they treated me great! But ,they have ruined peoples careers, and now mick, the guy who is Motley Crue, not Tommy,I'm a rapper from Compton, is a tren follower, Nikki is the biggest poser I have ever met ,and now John 5 ,or lowery, is going to maybe last one album’,and he will have to leave ,that whole band still is drinking and taking drugs! John doesn't like that. But wRob

Opps not done. Anyway, I give John 1 world tour and one album, and he will leave ! Rob Zombie doesn't drink or do drugs, who many albums did he do with Manson, 1. I know these guys Marilyn Manson was a huge fan of my band Trick Or Treat, and we went to see the first Iron Maiden show when Bruce came back ,front row at the Greek! So I know these guys ,and fame can destroy anyone! I hope Micks last few years are as good as possible, and Nikki needs to get on his knees and beg for forgiveness! He has a big tattoo on his calf of mick ,why would Nikki do that? Guilt? Who knows, but if Mick dies before they make up,it will huant that band forever, inwould hope!

Actually my man it's Corabi, John Corabi and he was on the self titled "Motley Crue" released in 1994. IMO their best record by far. He also had already laid most of the guitar tracks down on Generation Swine but before it was released Vince was back in the band so you only hear a little of John Corabi and only on guitar. Generation Swine and everything after was terrible. I never listened to Crue again other than the older records. I have always been a fan of Mick Mars. I think "Misunderstood" off of the 94 record was his best written song. Thanks for the info man it's really great to hear more about him and your delivery was great other than that one little missed fact about Corabi. \m/ \m/

The second show was held at the same venue during the summer of 1990 on their DR FEELGOOD world tour and the last show was held at Polaris Amphitheater, in the summer of 94 during their self titled album MOTLEY CRUE featuring John on lead vocals of course! Now the 18,000 seater didn't come close to selling out only 8,000 of us showed up for the show but let me say this my friend John's performance was a 1,000 times entertaining than both of Vince's show put together.

@stevelongmusic880 I saw Corabi and the Scream open up for the Bullet Boys. He was AMAZING LIVE! Then a few months later Motley Announced him as the new singer. I saw them live and it was one of the best sounding concerts I've ever been to. I love the self titled album. To me it doesn't sound dated even today. And I think we would have gotten 5 to 10 more great albums with them had they stuck with him.

Mick put some awesome riffs behind Nikki's songs. But they were Nikki's songs. Nikki is The Man behind Motley crue. Like it or not those are facts.

Not arguing that Nikki was part of it. In my opinion they lost their magic when they started cutting Mick out of the writing process, so that's where I'm coming from. I will say I loved Sixx AM. Thanks for watching!

Nikki had the dream and songs, but Mick had the hunger. Everyone knows that no one person writes a song start to finish without the band having their say so. I do see the group effort being part of it here and everything going through a filtering process of song writer, band, producer and label.

Also the name motley crue came from the studio techs. As they walked in (all 4 members) they were known as Christmas. This is where the name was born. Don't they look like a mottley crew.

John Corabi was on the 1994 self titled Motley Crue album. Generation swine came later. Personally, I feel that record was their best or at least one of their best. Generation swine was the one where Mick was cut down all the time. The end result was a dumpster fire.

Comment: MC may end up being a great Tribute Band. Just like what KIZZ (Kiss) did in where they have this extensive catalog of songs. This band (referring to MC) can also be compared to Luis Miguel (an international singer). LM (Luis Miguel) has not even released any new material in several years and the young man is making millions of dollars by touring and singing his hit songs to his fans. MC, I believe, will be heading down that road. Greg Leon is better than John 5 but Mr. Leon said that he would never join the band. I think MC can survive by doing this, but I don't believe that they will ever be releasing any new material. I think those days' are Over. March 30, 2024. USA

I’ve been a huge Mötley fan since shout at the devil and it hurts me to see and hear vince just being horrible live. I mean I don’t expect any singer to be perfect live but it’s obvious that Vince doesn’t put in the work. He’s lazy all the way around and I come from a work hard family. So to see Vince being a millionaire and has the resources to be better and not caring enough to go out and be the best version of himself just sucks. And by him being that way it’s a reflection on the other guys

I appreciate the input. Greg played with Tommy first, didn't like Nikki as he felt his playing ability wasn't up to snuff and told Tommy if that was who he wanted to play bass, he was out. Technically, this wasn't Motley Crue yet as Greg never played a gig with them, he left when Nikki joined the band, Vince wasn't in the band yet, and Mick came up with the name Motley Crue. Besides that, this was more about Mick, than the origins of Motley Crue. Thanks for watching!

Making up an alias to avoid paying for your kids is a scumbag thing to do. Truth be told it's just one of the many things Mick has done to sour his reputation thru the years. That said in a band like Motley Crue, it's pretty par for the course to be a bad human being.

It would just serve Nikki Sixx right that the Crue should be relegated to the dustbin of irrelevance. Mick Mars was, is, and forever will be Crue. Without him, Crue is doomed, and rightfully so for their shameful treatment of Mick Mars.

Obviously motley crue is not motley crue without the 4 original members. They tried to replace people before and they flopped. Its nothing against the other musicians they Obviously are extremely talented, but mick is the building block that made them into MOTLEY CRUE!! Nikki sixx is the only one who could be replaced and the sound that is Motley Crue wouldn't change a bit. Granted he is the main song writer but nobody can replicate mick playing

Well, actually, several of the rock mags and record execs did call them that in regards to their excessive drug use, sex, arrests, etc. essentially all the problems they caused for the record companies. However, Guns and Roses has been referred to by this as well, even a documentary called that about them (probably fits them better in my opinion). And Paul Schaffer's band was actually named the World's Most Dangerous Band. If you don't know who he was, he was the band leader on the David Letterman Show as well as on Saturday Night Live in the 70s. All in all, it's all hype anyway. Thanks for watching!
