The general public is waiting to be given permission to believe...to know. The dog and pony shows must cease.

All this stuff is just rinse and repeat. Someone makes a wild claim, it gets denied, believers claim the denial is proof of a cover up and around and around we go. It gets very boring over time. I am curious as to why Grusch is making these claims, though I suspect the answer is probably not as interesting as we'd hope.

Science moves forward based on evidence, but what Mick is talking about here is the tendancy of some people to continue to believe a favored narrative despite the lack of any substantial evidence. What a bunch of people in those circumstances said that they saw isn't evidence for anything, and if you don't understand why then you're certainly not qualified to judge how someone else is evaluating an event. True to form for flying saucer enthusiasts, you can't step back from your emotional reaction to having a favorite narrative critically examined, so you attack the messenger. And then you wonder why the entire subject is seen as such a repository of failed critical thinking skills.

Yes, he does and it's been explained many times that's it's very easy to testify under oath without actually lieing (ie. "I was told this information by someone" or "I heard this story"). Which is all he testified to. He had no first hand knowledge or evidence. It was just trust me bro stories.
